Vixter goes for her driving test in the morning   VIBES please!!!

Good luck!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I remember my test being slightly nerve wracking. I think many people here used to fail on their try because the teachers were very strict.

For example they would make you parallel park. And you had to get it on the first shot. Sorry, But most adults I know cannot parallel park on the first shot.

I remember doing well on the test. But then I had to parallel park. And I did not get it on the first try (which would normally mean fail). But I asked the instructor if i could have one more try. And got it perfectly. So I passed!

I want that bookcase chair that DR JohnG posted on page 5 last night.

I would sit the other way and use the orange part as a back. And if it wasn't comfortable i would put padding!

I was thinking the same thing!

The three Blu-rays are gorgeous, but, as I thought, I wasn't in the mood to watch any one of them straight through tonight.  Instead, I went back to Jacques Tati's TRAFIC which I had watched the first half of a few nights ago before falling dead asleep.  So, watched the second half just now and enjoyed it much more.  I must say that being awake is a pretty good way to enjoy a movie.  I hadn't seen this one before.  It's a bit less accessible, or focused, or something, than the three better known ones preceding it, but there are some great bits in it.  At one point I laughed and laughed like a perfect idiot, and then discovered that the bit wasn't quite finished and had to laugh like an idiot again.

Chocolate dinner was super. My favorite of the six courses was a simple salad that was so fresh and beautiful. I will post photos tomorrow, but I'll describe the salad: Mixed greens with radish, honeycrisp apple and almonds with a Chocolate-Orange Vanilla Dressing.

The real revelation of the evening was the many flavors of chocolate. I love ultra dark chocolate, 90%. I'll even eat unsweetened occasionally, which is super bitter, and cocoa nibs. But the various ways that chocolate was presented was wonderful. Also wonderful was duck breast in an achiote chocolate sauce with a sweet potato and apple latke and cabbage.

Tonight's performance of "The Wind in the Willows" was a bit off, too.  Nothing horrible, but a couple of missed/early cues.
