Keith took his car to Medford for an oil change & some other work.  When he was done he called from the road & I met him at Les Schwab.  We then left my car for new tires and will pick it up tomorrow.  Since I don't use my car all that often, & tend not to use it at all when the weather is bad, we didn't purchase top of the line tires for winter driving.  The still cost enough.

I made an appointment to have my snow tires put on Saturday morning.  They're essential, especially with my steep driveway.  What's amazing, though, is how long both the snow tires and my regular all season tires last, swapping them twice a year.  This will be the 6th or 7th winter for the snows, and the others have four years on them, and I've already been told they're still fine to put on next spring.

I'm fortunate in that I was able to move where I live now...it's only one mile from my work and it's completely flat.  I have never had snow tires, and except for a few minor incidents over the years, I've never really needed them.

Tonight:  the latest Twilight Time Blu-rays!   :)

Might not watch anything all the way through -- no, I take that back.  Probably will.  But have to check all of these out first.

Thank you George.

It is nice to have an easy trip to work.  If it were me I would walk that easy trip almost all year round.

From the stats department for season two - episode one is about to cross 12,000 views.  Episode two is about to cross 14,000 views, and episode three in a week and a half is about to cross 8,000 view.  Very happy with all this, needless to say.

And oh, just a note to the twit, should the twit be reading this board as the twit obviously reads the notes every single day:  Karma.  The End.  Do penance for your sins if you don't want that bad karma.  Apologize and then stop being a twit - it serves you worst of all and did not seem to cause the problems you wished.  In fact, it seems to have opened a good dialogue.  Oh, well.

I don't know the details. But it doesn't seem very nice if a DR would tattle on any other DR.

Just got one screener via Fed Ex - Zero Dark Thirty - I think that's the name of it.  I've been hoping we'd get The Sessions, which I really want to see.

I didn't know that this was available...and has been since March:  the vocal selections to The People In The Picture.

I just ordered it and will follow along with the CD. :D

Are they studded tires?  We decided not to buy new ones last year for Keith car & did just fine so we will pass on them again this year.

Watched Hyde Park on Hudson - very enjoyable save for the absolutely wretched direction - he couldn't kill the good writing and performances but he surely didn't help them.  The film also contains what is now my favorite film score of 2012 by someone named Jeremy Sams, who I have to say I've never heard of.  Thankfully, the album was available on amazon as a download only thing.  I'm listening now and it's just as good away from the film as in it.  It's like the best of Richard Rodney Bennett.
