Keith's favorite, Old Cape Cod

This one is a recording with photos of Pattie throughout the years.
That's probably my favorite, too, though "Doggie" is great.

Pimiento cheese is good on celery. No one else will probably like this, but I also like anchovies on celery.

LOL you are correct that I won't like these.

It's hard to link the songsmith of "Doggie" with the writer of the beautiful score for CARNIVAL.

But it is easier to link the same songsmith with "Prettybelle" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's." ("Clam dip/Don't want that damn dip." Or whatever the lyrics are.)

Newark!  Our departure from Dayton was almost an hour late, but we're at our London gate in plenty of time.

DR Ginny, have fun in Londres. Can you call some friends and tell them howdy from me?

DR Elmore, these first few days, before we go to Norwich, our time really isn't our own.  If you'll email me the details, I can probably make some calls when we're back in London the week of the 14th.

My question for ASK BK Day - although it may be answered in one of the Kritzer books -

Did you ever buy a dime store goldfish?  What was its eventual destiny?

I think we have a new character for the Cell Block in CHICAGO.  This Arizona woman is on trial for killing her boyfriend by stabbing him 27 times and then shooting him.  She is claiming self-defense.  "He had it comin'!"

It's 23 degrees and I have to go back to work.

7 more years until retirement (unless I win the lottery).

Keep buying those tickets, Ben.

I thought pbs.org might have the Broadway show, but there's only an excerpt. Each episode of Downton Abbey will be shown in its entirety after it airs.

I really enjoyed the Marvin Hamlisch special, ONE SINGULAR SENSATION!.  For an actress who seems so relaxed on stage, Audra McDonald seemed rather uptight hosting the special.  That current Annie (Lillia Crawford) is certainly a little dynamo.

It is six degrees this morning.....so I think I will stay indoors today.

I read BELOVED INFIDEL.....and saw the movie once when Rona Barrett's name was attached to an afternoon movie series....and in one segment she did a Movie Star Update that was interesting.

Yes these FOX movies look very distinctive.....I like Deborah Kerr....but I don't LOVE her....something about her face is strange....and her figure was never played up in any way other than ordinary.....or didn't seem to be....but she is fine.....

I feel the same way about Deborah Kerr, DR Jrand62.
But I still like her better than Miss Greer Garson in most instances.

Oh, I don't know.  You can't beat Greer Garson in RANDOM HARVEST.

Good morning, all! Jan 2 has landed, the emails and phone calls have begun, and I had lots of business ro attend to this morning. Thank God nothing is too urgent, but the Man from Philadelphia likes to send long emails.

Today, I have some banking - my union pension has now kicked in - and a trip to the post office. Also, a couple of emails.

I fell in love with Deborah Kerr at the age of ten when I saw THE KING & I.  I think she's wonderful in it and THE INNOCENTS. As to the overrated Greer Garson, who stinks as Lizzie Bennett and Mrs Miniver, I'm better.

Are you sure Deborah Kerr was only ten when she did THE KING AND I?  How old would that have made Marni?

DR TCB, in answer to your question of last evening, I'll be working the corner across from yours.

Oh good.  Then we can do lunch and pay for it with nickels.
