So, I'm going to reread it soon, make my changes and see how I feel. The bottom line is I may wait until a little later in the year to put it out. Which is fine - all my books used to come out in September anyway and I'm not in any kind of hurry. She just feels a little more distance might be good. Again, it's not the book itself or the way it works - that she's very happy with. And if I hadn't told her certain things in advance of her reading it, she would not be feeling this way at all. So, pondering is what I'll be doing.

What about having one more person read it who knows you? To tell you if they feel the same way.

with Bruce in 2004 passed away in December of 2012. Anthony knew him (but hadn't seen him in years) because they took the same dance class. A mutual friend called Anthony this morning to tell him the news.

We don't have any other information but here is an obituary from the Hartford Courant Newspaper (the funeral and burial were in CT).

Paul Haber Obit

I got to meet Paul at What If? and got to know each and we met again at a performance of What If. He was a kind, generous and talent person.

He has a lot of work on you tube to see what I mean.

I was first treated to an IV of antibiotics. About half an hour into that, I began feeling a bit more upbeat and better. Maybe it's the anti-biotics, of course, but it may also have been the joy of knowing that what was wrong was going to be put right.

Following the antibiotic, I was given a saline drip....and that cheered me up/perked me up enormously. My fever broke with the Tylenol they had given me earlier, and my final temp was 97.6.

I was given two antibiotic drugs to take home (azithromycin and amoxicillin), plus codeine-laced cough syrup.

I'm done with the azithromycin, but will be taking the other (twice a day) for the next week. The amoxicillin is great, but it also gives me sweats.

I'm back at work (second day), am taking my time, and am taking the best care of myself I can.

My favorite contemporary opera is DOCTOR ATOMIC by John Adams which is available on Blu-Ray and which I cannot recommend highly enough.

I really like that and bought the DVD. I also love Philip Glass' "Satyagraha," which was shown on PBS last year, but is not available for purchase. My sister's boyfriend was able to make a Blu-ray of that broadcast for me.

I never want to use snorkeling gear again. All I do is get water in my mask & down the snorkel.

Saturday I put my prescription goggle on I use at the pool and went into the beautiful clear ocean of Cozumel. Sure I had to keep coming up for air but it was great. I had a nice long swim and saw some cool fish.

Knowing me Keith reminded me not to go out past the rope line. Suddenly I noticed a boat going past me, looked up & then back to the beach and went oops. Apparently Keith wasn't the only one watching me swim way out, other's were as well. I even heard about it from people who weren't on the beach

I really didn't go out that far, just that it was beyond the swim area.

I was totally confused to how I could have swam over the rope without noticing. What I didn't realize was the area I was swimming in had an outlet for jet skis & boats so the rope didn't cross where I was. During Sunday's swim two boats came into the swim area making me a little nervous.

I've discussed the book with two close friends and I've got a clearer picture of things now - really helps to talk it out. I'm going to make some small character tweaks that probably won't even involve a total of ten or fifteen lines and that will be it. I will decide on how long to sit on it - it wouldn't be out before May anyway, and I might just wait until September, but I feel I've discussed the little issue this book might have in terms of the one character and I feel that with the tweaks I'm going to be fine with it. I think the book tells an interesting story and there's a good lesson in there and that's very important to me.

Just had another long chat with Muse Margaret and explained my other conversations, my intentions when writing the book, and what I'm going to tweak and she's now totally fine with everything. Again, she loves everything about the book - she was just concerned that what would really be only about five people could construe that one one issue of the book, which was inspired by real life, might be too specific, but with the few tweaks it won't be. Feeling much better now, because both Muse Margaret and I feel this is the best of the Hofstetters - whether others will or not remains to be seen, but for me this book is really funny and really interesting, and its plot is timely.
