In the end, that version of Anna Karenina didn't cut it for me. Anna's story is not a simple case of adultery and too much of what makes the novel great never made it to the screen. But I liked the Kitty and Levin story.

I watched out the window and watched as it made increasingly larger circles,  block my block, over my neighborhood

BLOCK MY BLOCK is the name of my new romance novel!

Getting ready to braise some oxtail for dinner.

where does one get an oxtail?  I have never seen one in the grocery store

I grew up eating oxtail stew.  After we were married I attempted to make it, put way too much barely in not understanding how barely expands. ;D

started a big pot of stew today, which I will finish tomorrow.  No barley in mine, but it does contain lots and lots of beef!  Sorry Jane.

I hope you added lots of veggies.

I will be adding all the veggies in the morning.

Re Cinderella: We saw Eartha Kitt as the fairy godmother. She was, um, a bit scary.
