Good morning, all!  I am stayng in today. Before I headed out to the eye doctor yesterday, my stomach was behaving quite badly. The late afternoon and evening were worse, so I cancelled all plans today and decided to stay in. We'll see if what I had yesterday was a mild form of food poisoning or some virus floating about.

I will work on the ROBERTA libretto and have a liesurely, quiet day.

And today's good news: Diana Montague, one of England's leading singers, will play Aunt Minnie on the recording.

I have been in communication with Diana Montague and i love her. She's my new close peronal friend, and she's quite funny, asking sharp qustions about dialogue, dialiect, character. In one of her last messages, she said she could identify with the character's maternal, imperila and naighty sides, so I asked her if I had ever todl her I loved her. She sent back this message:  Tee hee, get in line!

Crappy afternoon. 

Yesterday morning, I woke up with a congested sensation in my throat.  As the day wore on, the sense of an oncoming "chest cold" seemed ominous. 

Last night, I had a nice hot bowl of homemade beef-vegetable soup and went to bed early (after taking some cold medicine).

This morning, I woke up feeling no worse than I did yesterday.

However, things have deteriorated and I'm feeling the cold settling in.

On top of all this, folks here in the office are dragging their feet on "rush" projects and quibbling over insignificant word choices/sentence structure...and then opting for the grammatically incorrect choices.

My last nerve is defying someone to step on it.   I've let some folks know I may not be in tomorrow and if anything is left hanging they're just going to have to deal with it.

You know what's funny?  Here's what's funny - I've never had a bagel in NY that I liked as much as the bagels I get here.  Go know.

That doesn't surprise me at all.

I think the NY Bagels in Michigan tasted more like the bagels in LA than the ones I had in NY.  When we moved to Connecticut a neighbor from Long Island took me to LI to shop and to stop for bagels for me.  I was shocked how disappointed I was.  The next time she took me to a better, as in she figured more to my liking, bagel place and I was happy.

But I just happened to skim down the article, and it says the principal initially advised her that he'll investigate, and to please DELETE THE VIDEO.

Interesting discussion in the notes about audio books.  Do any DRs listen to them? I don't think I've ever listened to one before. I see a lot of avid readers on blogs who listen to them instead of reading the book.  I think it might be interesting to take a book you like and then listen to the audio recording. But I would find it very weird to listen to the book instead of reading it and then review it.   I mean if you review it totally as an audio book fine.

I have this fear of letting my mind wonder and losing my place.  I would give on a try for a road trip if Keith were interested.  I often find the library doesn't have an eBook but it does have an audio version to download.

He was a great dancer. Not an actor. Could barely get through his few lines. But that Abraham number and Choreography are both wonderful displays of his dancing.

He didn't need to act in the movie with all that fantastic dancing.

My library does have some audio books. I think soon I will give it a try. But I would never want to replace reading with listening.

I've found Advil Cold & Sinus, and a hot shower (with water on my chest) and hot fluids seem to be helping a bit.
