I took a diet pill in 1985. Never again. Of course, if I was as thin now as I was in 1985, I wouldn't need a diet pill. What was I thinking?

I took a few once, never again.  Even more amazing is my father gave them to me because I was overweight.  Even at my heaviest I wasn't overweight.

Bruce did you think I was fat in high school?

Since it's the beginning of Daylight Saving Time, I've already put my alarm clock ahead.

Why am I watching a Golden Girls marathon when I've seen all the shows before? I guess because I still think they're very funny.

I wish I had gone to see Elaine Paige the other night.  I guess I have a thing about going out on a "school" night.

After a slightly depressing visit with my Mom, I came home to find online evidence that a group of women who I thought were friends had a farewell gathering today for one of them who's relocating to the northern part of the state.  I was not invited.  Pizza, wine, and chocolate frozen yogurt for dinner were called for.

Aww Ginny, I'm sorry on both counts.  Are you sure your oversight was intentional?

It probably wasn't malicious, but the result of my not being as active recently on our online conversations about printed quilted handbags.

I'm sorry about the books, BK.

You can rest assured that your books have a prominent place on my bookshelves.

I would have preferred they throw them in the trash or send them back or something.  To sell them to a used bookstore, one within close proximity to my residence, and knowing I'm a book collector who frequents these jernts is, well, something - not sure what.  Karma, that's the word that keeps popping up.  My instinct was to write an immediate e-mail, or take a photo of the books and post on Facebook with a pithy comment, where they'd be sure to see it.  But after talking to friends, karma will take care of all of this.

I am soooo glad you spoke to friends before doing any of those things!!!!!  I know it hurts, rightfully so, but it is best to be careful where you vent.

Sorry, BK, about your revolting discovery today.  I recommend you stop looking at/for those books while I stop looking at certain ladies' Facebook pages.

Good idea Ginny.  Will you both remove these people from your FB friends?

DR Danise do the pills say Dr. Oz on them?  If so I would write to him that he needs a warning on them and how sick you got.  I bet he has a FB page ;)

Funny you should say that, DR KevinH.  I tell people all the time that when I was younger, I caught the school bus and went to school with the kids.  I'm 54, I still catch a bus and still feel like I'm going to school with the "big" kids now.

I also don't go out durning the "school" week.   The more things change the more they stay the same.

I also remember how I wanted to stay up and watch the "Tonight Show", now it gets to be nine o'clock and I can't wait to go to bed.

TOD:

Fav Plummer Films:

INSIDE DAISY CLOVER
NIGHT OF THE GENERALS
OEDIPUS THE KING
ROYAL HUNT OF THE SUN
WATERLOO
CONDUCT UNBECOMING
MAN WHO WOULD BE KING
MURDER BY DECREE
LAST STATION
CAESAR & CLEOPATRA (Televised play)
I'm also looking forward to his BARRYMORE.

Donald Sutherland:

DIRTY DOZEN
OEDIPUS THE KING
M.A.S.H.
START THE REVOLUTION WITHOUT ME
THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
ANIMAL HOUSE
ORDEAL BY INNOCENCE (also had Chris Plummer in it)
ORDINARY PEOPLE
SIX DEGREES OF SEPERATION

BK, what an awful thing to find someone has so cavalierly and insensitively dispense with a gift.  I don't even rid myself of books that I personally don't like that have been personally inscribed to me by strangers.

Keith changed his car clock on the way home from the gym today.  My car has been out of sink for months now & will finally be correct tomorrow.

The clock on my night table will adjust to the correct time while I am sleeping.

I'm glad it wasn't malicious, just thoughtless.  Of course that still changes how you feel about them.

No, he doesn't have a "brand" he just recommend that Raspberry Keystones would help you lose weight on his show. They were selling some at Walmart and I read all the reviews on line.  No one mentioned what happened to me.

And when the neighbors were all saying how good I looked from my weight gain I was put on a diet at home.

Pogue, I agree.   If something is given to me as a gift and especially if it's inscribed to me by the author, I would never sell it no matter what.  I'm afraid these people are beyond help - what caused this I will never ever know.  And that's fine.

If you saw him recommend it on his show you should write & complain.  Do you plan to get a refund?

I agree with DR Jane. I am sorry that you were overlooked. But maybe it wasn't intentional. You seem like a wonderful person and I cannot imagine that these "friends" would have intentionally tried to hurt you. Maybe they each thought that someone else had invited you.

When I asked I hadn't read you didn't think it was malicious.

Thinking about Bruce, if he removes them then he can't spy on them.
