BK - when is the kindle version of the book coming out?  I have some vacation coming up and would like to read the book on vacation and if I don't actually have to take the real book (which I happily own, of course) that would be great.

I forgot that tomorrow I am stuck here awaiting a delivery.   I will do laundry tomorrow morning, most likely during the predicted thunderstorm and then wait. I will hit Toyland on Friday.

Today, after yesterday's wait, my UPS delivery arrived  at 12:30, as I was coming back from the Verizon store.

I have asked again yesterday about Kindle - it's everywhere else as an eBook BUT Kindle.  Haven't had a response yet, but hopefully soon.

They just got me the new test site link for the notes - they got our design in and it looks great.  Working out some weirdnesses, but overall it's easy and looks great.  The type in the notes is a bit smaller than what we now have, so they'll fix it so it's the same size, but I put in today's notes, added a color to one word (fun), and inserted an Outside the Box episode - it looks GREAT in the notes.  They do have to work out why certain embedded links are showing up as text rather than images - they're working on that right now - Broadway World's embeds don't work, for example, nor to Tiny Pic's.  But You Tube's embeds work perfectly.

They'll have to show me how to put audio in, but we'll get everything else working and then work on the small stuff.

Very exciting.  I'm beginning to think we'll maybe be up and running for both the notes and the board at some point early next week.

I hope it isn't too complicated as I shall be getting ready for upcoming company.  If I'm not on the new board before they arrive it won't likely happen until they leave.

Jane, YOU won't have to do anything.  When it goes live (unless I'm mistaken), all you will do is go to www.haineshisway.com and it'll be the new board...unless the new board will have a new URL.  Hopefully, it won't. :)

Everything about the notes and the discussion board will be the same - nothing to get used to other than the discussion board has a fresher look to it - but all the functions regarding posting remain easy/breezy, with the exception you'll have to modify your member profile as George suggested, unless we can figure out how to do that globally for everyone - it's just checking two boxes - once those are checked, the board will function exactly as it always has, but better and smoother with no problems whatsoever.

They've adjusted the type so that it's the same size as the current notes, so that's done.  And the archives are done and where they should be.  Next they work on the radio show, the new universal player, and will have a tutorial for Donald so he can do his thing.

How does that work to tell Amazon that you bought a book because of someone's recommendation?

I don;t see hoe you tell the site that info.

Will you be able to remove the photos when they get full?

Yes, the photo cache will work easily and it will take a lot longer to fill it with the new updated software.  He'll talk me through that and a few other things.
