I suppose I'll do a jog soon.  It's very pretty outside and the singing bird seems to have come back to me.  How many here remember the singing bird?

Fancy that - I'm singing that at a wedding today - (providing it's the Beatles version and not the song from Les Miserables!)

Good morning... I'm back on the west coast.  A little disoriented, but that will pass. Our flight out of Orlando was delayed almost 3 hours because of weather in Chicago, so we didn't get in until after midnight.   The DD was very happy to see me as I was him.  A few days to get oriented, then I'm back on the road to So Cal and a 4-day cruise to Mexico.

Welcome back, Matthew.

One of my favorite East German commie beach blanket musicals, "Heisser Sommer," is for sale on Amazon for $82,839.98 for a used copy. I don't think I like it that much.

Bought a black truffle today at the market. Have shavings now sealed up in a jar of eggs. In week, they will be scrambled into the most magnificent dish I know. Need that at a brunch with some Champagne.

Bronson - The Dirty Dozen

Happy lazy Saturday for those who get to be lazy. Happy Solstice. And happy Super Moon tomorrow - go super moon someone you love.  :D

On June 21, 1969, I was in Ellensburg, WA attending summer quarter at Central WA State, and working summer quarter on the theater stage crew at the school.  It was a Saturday night, and the two ladies working on the stage crew invited me over for dinner andto watch TV.  I didn't have a TV where I was livng so this was a treat.  We ate dinner, probably had a few beers, and watched TV.  Back then, prior to Saturday Night Live, NBC used to show the Best of the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.  That night, one of the guests on the show was Judy Garland.  As I left to walk home, I said to Suzy and Dorothy, that one of my greatest goals in life was that, someday, I could see Judy Garland perform in person.

The next morning, the clock radio went off and the first thing I heard was that Judy had died.

DR TCB you would have been fantastic in ANGEL STREET.....why did you turn it down?

I turned it down for totally mercenary reasons.  At the exact same time I was offered ANGEL STREET, I was also offered a chance to direct and star in a dinner theater production of Neil Simon's CHAPTER TWO.  It was a nice paid gig, which at the time, I couldn't afford to pass up.  CHAPTER TWO turned out to be a great success, but I always felt bad that I had to pass on ANGEL STREET.  I always thought the chance would come again, but it never did.

Saturday morning greetings!  Richard is in beautiful Oxford, OH, this morning rehearsing with the Miami University Men's Glee Club alumni for tonight's concert.  They're performing in a tent on Slant Walk and it may be too hot for me to attend...

Do you have trouble with the heat aside from not liking it?

I, too, have just arisen from a most delicious nap! They were so detested as a child, and are such a wonderful luxury now.
