Next week brings some changes. Starting Tuesday, I'll be working two days a week from home. Not having to face the rush traffic twice in the same week could be too much to handle. But if I try real hard, I could get used to it.
The Goldie fries are dipped in beer batter and they were also fabulous.
BK, Did you mean me regarding Finishing the book?If you did and you meant RED GOLD, yes I finished it several weeks ago and posted that I did and that I REALLY ENJOYED IT!
DR Jane that is interesting that you actually fall asleep reading. Do you wake up the next day not remembering parts of what you read? I like to be really alert when i read so i don't even read when i am sleepy. I often fall asleep with the tv on but never watching a program. I often watch programs i have recorded at night. But I stop the show as soon as i feel sleepy.
Well I have on my jeans, flannel shirt, and Stetson, and I am off to DWTPCS carrying my tuxedo.I will be happy with anything except LAST place. Pray for Rosemary's Baby. We don't dance until the second group, so I can't even have a glass of wine until the whole damn thing is almost over!
Aha, I found it - it didn't come up searching Red Gold because you typed it REDGOLD. Don't know how I missed it, but glad to see you liked it! Have Kevin post an amazon review.
DR ryacko I'm sorry you aren't enjoying the reading.
Good morning, all! I have a bit of work to accomplish this morning for Rob Berman's Trinity Church concerts, and then I will meet Bruce Pomahac for lunch before we see Inventing Mary Martin at the York Theatre.I've got to put together this morning notes for the first of the three concerts, Jerome Kern's 1917 Princess Theatre show, Oh, Boy!. I'll give him notes on what happened in the world and the New York stage in 1917, a short thing on the Princess Theatre, how Ray Comstock, and Elizabeth Marbury became its producers, and a synopsis of the show and hw the songs fit into the plot.I just got this new Sheldon Harnick 2-CD set assembled for his 90th birthday, and I love it!http://www.musicaltheaterproject.org/sheldon-harnick-hidden-treasures/
Today will be an easy day. If I get up early enough (and if I just want to), I'll go to work for a few hours to make up some time because of having to leave early to get to the theater. If I don't want to, I'll stay home, watch TV and do some laundry before going to the theater tonight. Tough choices, I know.
I am hoping to score a copy of the Prince LP....we shall see. I just ordered the Cal Tjader CD.
Today is the day....yes today is the day....Dancing With the Putnam County Stars.....I am hoping we are somewhere in the middle of the pack rather than at the bottom of the heap....but we shall see.I have just learned that two of the judges are CLOSE friends with one of the competitors, so I see his star rising in the East like the Sun.Time will tell.
From DR Cilla:QuoteThe Goldie fries are dipped in beer batter and they were also fabulous.Yum. I intensely dislike beer, beer batter on the other hand I enjoy very much.
And I am home from Inventing Mary Martin, which I really enjoyed. I found it very funny, musically very interesting with wonderful David Krane arrangements and a nice band led by Larry Goldberg, and the cast was quite good. I'm very happy for Steve Cole and David.
