RYacko, yes, it's just hard to want to go see one of those shows there - although this time they at least have a director who's done okay work there.  But I just don't know that I can be supportive of them again.

Wow!

I know!  I've seen this image a few times over the last several months and it still really surprises me.

Joel Bishoff - he directed something else I saw there that was - well - okay, which is better than most of the stuff I see there.

And we're back from a very nice trip to Dayton.  The clothing drop-off was easy-peasy and lunch at Flyboys Deli was great.  We will definitely be going back.  We had a nice drive around my former workplace to see the beginnings of some major reconstruction and a little browse around Barnes & Noble.  Last stop was the garage sale venue, where we contributed a few more things and had a look around.  It has all the makings of a very profitable event!

Oh, Joel! I've worked with him twice and loved it.

But I've not seen his work  at MTG in their 29 hour reading madness. I've only worked with him on fully rehearsed pieces, one musical, one play.

DR Elmo:  I have felt your sorrow at the loss of your friendship.  I recall a "recent" (this year?) meet-up you had with your goddaughter.  Is it safe to consider that relationship to be intact and unaffected by the rest of whatever has happened?

I hope so! I have made a conscientious effort to be positive whenever she mentions something about her parents. I hope that I never so anything to drag her into the middle.

I'm not going to go, RYacko - just talked to Marsha Kramer, who said that the AEA tickets are usually bad seats due to the small house and it just all seems so bloody cocky to me over there - I just don't want to support that group in any way.

Oy, that sounds awful, BK. At least in Glendale, you could get decent seats, even in the balcony for AEA price.
As much as I'd love to schmooze with Joel, I am not paying them for bad seats

I am so totally groggy today. Just haven't woken up at all. I guess I had a few nights of sleep that were too restless...and full of bizarro dreams involving superheros, witches, living in a campus dorm, and many other odds and ends.

Mostly odds.

TOD:
I'd finally get a smartphone. I have a pay-as-you-go flip phone, which I barely use. People keep asking me to text them information and it's pretty embarrassing to say that I don't know how. And it gets more embarrassing every year.

I know plenty of people who refuse to text so don't be embarrassed.  Those smart phones are too big to fit in my jeans pocket.

Here is a new real estate tactic that is generating some buzz (positive and negative). Video "sales clips" intended to move high-end real estate. They're selling a "lifestyle," not a house. In this case, the attractive couple featured in the sales video are the actual sales agent and his wife. The property they're selling is a 2 million dollar condo in the heart of Minneapolis:

And HERE is the inevitable parody - quite funny:

I found the original ad funny, as in unbelievable they did that, but not the parody.
