Back from lunch at the Kansas City Barbecue with Doug Haverty. First time back since the remodeling of the interior - now we have a new name, The Barbecue Bar, steel tables and I found it very off-putting. No more sauce on the tables in the plastic squeeze bottles, a very fatty sandwich, but Doug's ribs looked very good.

My eBook library has many Anne Perry books. I put a hold on the first one in the Pitt series, "The Cater Street Hangman"

Why do you have a different book for the bus? The only thing I can imagine is one book is heavier than the other-lol

I keep one book in my bag for travel and the rest I read at home. Or Toyland.

I don't know where everyone was that is normally at the Y on a Saturday. I am not complaining. For the first half hour at the pool it was very quiet and I had the single lane. My timing was good as it began to get crowded as I left.

My body ached last night and the swim felt soothing.

102 MINUTES (The Unforgettable Story of the Fight to Survive Inside the Twin Towers) by Jim Dwyer and Kevin Flynn.

I found it a very touching and moving book. The way it was told, it reminded me very much of Walter Lord's A NIGHT TO REMEMBER. For many, it may be too soon, but it is a valuable book to have.

We may have to install a door at the top of the stairs, which would also require installing a second window fan. The whole-house fan is now in Rob and Mary Linda's living room and closing that door would prevent any air circulation downstairs.
