We did not watch BEHIND THE CANDELABRA as the disc didn't work.  Instead we watched THE LITTLE GIANT with Edward G.  I'm sure we enjoyed it more than we will enjoy Candelabra.

~ ~ ~ FEEL BETTER VIBES ~ ~ ~ for DR elmore3003!!!

Thanks! I hope it's a stomach virus but I always worry about gastrointestinal problems since my Aunt Lois died of stomach cancer and my dad was felled by colon cancer.

I've inherited my mother's hypochondria!

Since you keep up with the test the odds of colon cancer are extremely slim, but I get is since my IBS symptoms are similar to the early stages of my family curse.

FEEL BETTER!!!

Great photo, Ginny. They are certainly making it home.

Thanks, DR John G - it smelled so good when they invited us up to see those new shelves that Rob had just installed.  Mary Linda was making sauce in the crock-pot with all the tomatoes they'd received in their farm share.

Yum!

TOD:

I can't think of any classic musicals that I hate, just some that I was never interested in seeing. Music Man, for instance. I suspect, however, that if I watched it, I would like it.

I think you would.

We are a bit on edge today. We picked up DD Zach yesterday from the place where he had been boarded over the weekend, and he seemed OK. But he would not eat his dinner, and then he started throwing up all night. This lasted until this morning. He has been at the vet under observation all day. He apparently is doing a bit better. But he is 14, and for a larger dog, that is on borrowed time.

DVR ALERT:

Most PBS television stations are showing the Lincoln Center Sweeney Todd with Bryn Terfel and Emma Thompson and the NY Philharmonic this Friday evening.

My DVR is set to record this!

For your Banned Books Week entertainment:

Which Banned Book Are You?

Even when I change a couple of answers, I still get Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer - maybe I should read it...

I'm "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley (1932), which I haven't read.

Very nice!  It's smaller than my little kitchen, but it's a heck of a lot cleaner. ::)

What you can't see in this photo, DR ChasSmith, is the full-sized deep freeze that they have in our garage.  They are expecting half a cow sometime this fall.

I have very few complaints with my HMO, but i must say, these jokers in the referral dept. have no idea what the fat hell they are doing. I asked for a renewal of physical therapy on Sept. 9. No word.
    1. So, I called last Wednesday, the 17th, and was told nothing had been done yet.
    2. No referral arrived in the post, so I called this morning, spoke to a lady who told me she had a referral for me, dated Sept. 9, but there was no physical therapy company on the referral so I would have to find one and set up an appointment when i got my copy in the post. I was so pissed that I hug up.
    3. This afternoon, when i got home, I called again, there was a referral t my physical therapy office dayed Sept. 19 and it was all set to go. The person I spoke to faxed the referral t the office and i now have an appintment on Wednesday morning.

Vibes for DD Zach. Hopefully it is just nerves from being away from his loved ones.

My DDD (Dear Departed Dog) Bosco would do that. I think it was since he couldn't cry, vomiting was the next best thing.

Tonight TCM is showing several Brigitte Bardot French movies from France.  I may watch them since I am not interested in Dancing With the Has Beens this time around.

Thanks, everyone, for the vibes for DD Zach. He is now home, and while it is evident that he is not feeling his usual chipper self, he is still a heck of a lot livelier than he was this morning. I think he is quite happy to be back at home.
