Grocery store vibes for DR GINNY.  I went to WalMart for my weekly shopping yesterday and was there about 10 a.m.  It wasn't TOO bad.....and there was a cashier WAITING for someone to come through her line.  So I was very fortunate.  I hope it's the same with you today.

I stopped shopping at my local Kroger store because the parking lot is marked out in a crazy way....and the scene of more accidents than even the post office.

I thank those of you who sent vibes! Please keep them coming and keep my employment in your prayers.  All I want for Christmas is some good steady work for the next year or longer.  I am really grateful to Rob Berman and Joshie for the encores! work and to Susanna Moross Tatjan for her insistence tht the only person to edit her father's music is myself, but I cannot make a living off on the work.

So, enough self-pity for now. I am home from therapy, I biked my three miles, and it's time to tackle some of the work on my table. As soon as I call Joshie.

Thanks, DR JRand!  I have returned and my experience today at Kroger was very much like yours yesterday at WalMart.  I got there about 10:20 - I suspect it will get worse as the day goes on.  And tomorrow - yikes!  I do have to stop there tomorrow to pick up another prescription for Mom, but I can do that at the drive-up window.

Good news DR GINNY!

DR ELMORE - I have used that talisman for many years, and my wallet has never been empty.  Give it a couple of days to get going.....check them every day, and if one penny is flipped over, leave it!

Let's hope!

DR Ginny, I think shopping at Kroger's is like shopping at Zabar's, Trader Joe's, or Fairway: if you want to get out of there in sane mental condition, be there as soon as the doors open, know exactly what things you need, grab them, and get out before the old ladies with their shopping carts arrive. They'll kill you for a head of lettuce and those carts are lethal.

DR Elmore, today I WAS an old lady with a shopping cart.  I did have a list, but did a fair amount of backtracking because it was not well-organized.  And, I'm still getting used to the major reorganization of this store that took place while Richard and I were in France.

All in all, it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.

Talked to Dr. Chew - he says it should be fine - the cap is designed to come off easily until the permanent is put on in two weeks (from today).  My mistake was the licorice - nothing sticky or chewy.  He said to favor the other side, but that's really hard when there's a big hole at the back where he extracted the tooth.

Thanks, DR George!

I've had another round of Paint Your Wagon madness.  Ted Rotal, who did the glorious ochestrations for Brigadoon, was the orchestrator. The full scores for many of the numbers are a mess - tortured, revised, revised again - and while some numbers are accurately copied with occasional copying errors ("How Can I Wait," "I'm On My Way"), several major numbers ("I Still See Elisa," "In Between." "They Call the Wind Maria") have surprising discrepancies between the full scores, the vocal score and the rental orchestra parts.

I'm beginning to wonder if Loewe, Lerner, and music director Franz Allers mutually decided that Mr Royal would not be hired for My Fair Lady.
