My lighting guy from Inside Out, who's moved to London but was trying to come back to light our show, can't.  So, now I have to find someone - I hate that.  You find someone who's easy to work with and who "gets" you and then they move.  I need someone with strong ideas and who's easy to work with and collaborative.  I don't know where I'm supposed to find such a person.

BK - If you do the L.A. revue, would you do all new songs, or existing songs as well?

I ask because Harriet Schock, whom you and I had dinner with when we saw the show at the Mark Taper Forum, has a song that was something of a pop hit for Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Hollywood Town

Well, not one to sit on my ASS, I've already got Bruce Vilanch on board for whatever this LA revue is.  He loved the idea of it and is ready to go.  So, I'll query other folks.  I only want writers and songwriters who've lived here.

That's great, BK!

I just received A Spoonful of Sherman!  I'm going to listen to it right now...actually, I'm going to go to lunch right now, then I'll listen to it when I get back. :)

Is this my friend Simon's recording from England?

Why, yes it is, Larry. :D

FJL, I'd want this to be all new material - easier that way.  There are just so many ripe subjects, past AND present, for songs and sketches.  Can have a number or sketch about sexting, texting, lack of communication, a then and now with a couple at a restaurant, which I think would be hilarious, maybe more hilarious if it was the same couple, all that kind of thing.

Yup.  They are all in the same school district and a different one from his current district.  He would have liked to stay at his school, however, they keep losing classrooms.

That makes sense.  Could make it more marketable, too.

What a nice day in the DC area.   While warm, the humidity was low, which makes a big difference, of course.

Certainly.  I've asked to borrow it this very evening, so hopefully it will be in my hands in a little while -- whereupon I'll have my way with it and should be able to send it off tomorrow.  In a plain brown wrapper.

So, goddam it to hell; I just got an "I forgot and it's due Tuesday" email from my sister-in-law: $600 I do not have to pay the effen property taxes. And on top of, my printer is screwed up and will not print in color.

How long will this damned hell continue?

And on that note (A-Natural), I'm off.  I was just going to go to the movies with a friend of mine (the new version of "Far from the Madding Crowd" at the Olympia Film Society), but there's a production meeting for TAO's "An Improbable Peck of Plays 4" just before that.  I don't think I need to stay for the entire meeting, so I should have enough time to get to the theater, especially since my friend has a free ticket for me. :)

Until later!
