Went back to bed for a couple of hours, got up, the phone hasn't stopped ringing, fixed books have been overnighted to me, and this popped up on You Tube - I've been waiting for it from the beginning of You Tube and had resigned myself to the fact that it simply did not exist.  And yet...

That's joyous. That's Baayork Lee on her toes with him, right?

Great minds, George. And ours.

I'm on the last disc of the novel Brooklyn. So wonderfully written. So quietly devastating.

I really want to see the movie now.

I have an appointment with an orthopedist for Wednesday.

I have a pulmonary test set up for Wednesday morning.

I'm expecting a call from the hospital to schedule my lung function test, as ordered by the pulmonologist I just saw.

I doubt I would pass that and I don't have a cough.  Good luck!!!!

Thank you DR Jrand though I'm not sure what test there will be on Wednesday.  I expect there might be an x-ray to begin with.

I am getting my bones checked on Friday and hope they have not deteriorated more.

I'll "ditto" Bruce's comments about the Oscar-nominated (for "The Boy Friend") Peter Maxwell Davies.  He did a brilliant job on that film.

Peter Maxwell Davies' work on The Boy Friend was and is spectacular - incredible orchestrations and arrangements.

And for those of us predisposed toward THE DEVILS, his contribution there is chilling and essential.

Amazing, after so many years, the appearance of the Tommy Tune video.  Just like that.  Really amazing.  Way to go, BK!   :)

I wish the rain would take a break for an hour, and the sun would come out.  I want a nice walk, not one where I am drenched.

Pondering dinner.  My friend fighting cancer is visiting tomorrow and I have some Finale work to offer him.  He has a CAT scan this week and another round with his oncologist next week.  Please keep those prayers and vibes for him coming!

Rainy all day here as well DR JANE.

The sky cleared up a bit so off we went.  It didn't last long and eventually we had hard rain/hail coming down.  Just as we approached our home the sun came out.

We still ended our walk.  At least I got out.  Yesterday's walk was in the market while shopping.

This Donald Trump situation scares the crap out of me.  I don't know if I'm back in Chicago, 1968, or Berlin, 1930. His pledges of allegiance by violent, vicious thugs, his Nazi saluters who support a candidate pushing violence, calling a college  student protestor a member of ISIS and  ugliness to those opposing him are so abominable.  The fact that they are blindly following this neo-Hitler who seems to have no defined political platform between bullshit and violence really has me rattled.

Back from a brief meet and greet and finalizing the set, which I think is going to work really well.  Fun to see BJ Clark again after all these years.  I think they're a good group, more focused than the few entitled troublemakers we had in Abner - of course once they saw how the audience loved the show, they were all suddenly thrilled to be in it.  But this group seems happy to be there and I know we'll have fun.  I recorded each of their voices singing happy birthday - all on pitch! :)

Funny stuff on the Glenn Miller group - and great when you have the guy who did the restoration sitting with the actual recording logs that have all the information that clearly state MONO.  They somehow think because Miller did a separate track of his trombone solos so the engineers would have control over it in the film's MONO mix, somehow they think when you place that against the MONO orchestra track and put some reverb on it and move the trombone to the right channel that that's real stereo - it ain't.
