That link was most helpful.  I transfered it to the standard Windows Media Files, which I think will be fine for what I need it for.  If I have to do it another way, I now know how - it was quite easy.

Thanks for the additional METROPOLIS info DRMATTH.

DtM - I was just reading those instructions as well.  I have a program that burns CD's, but I have never tried to send a file as MR BK is doing.  Two different animals.  WFO is probably correct that only Media Player 10 has this option.  I will let you know how CRATCHIT goes....the cast has some of my favorite locals in it.  Worked with most of them before on/offstage in various productions and had a great time.

However I don't think this particular show will give me the opportunity to stage a Disco Nativity - a routine that got me damned straight to hell by one audience member - but it should be fun.  I anxiously await the music!

I am still trying to figure out LP's to CD's - DRGEORGE is the expert on this, I think.

There is a London cast CD of METROPOLIS, DR JRand. It may be out of print, but I know one was available at one time.

I actually am quite fond of the London Recording of METROPOLIS.  There's Judy Kuhn, ruining her voice; there's Graham Bickley for the ladies, there's Brian Blessed for the RSC fans and for the Rocky Horror people, there is Dr. Scott himself:  Jonathan Adams.
It's a pulsating medium rock pop score, to be sure, with one or two outstanding songs in amongst the drek.
JRand, you know what to do IF you want to hear it. . . ;)

Yesterday I forgot to mention the restaurant I most want to eat at.  For years Keith raved about the dining experience he had while on business in Atlanta.  Check out this website. ehttp://www.theabbeyrestaurant.com/

I’m so tired I am having great difficulty forming sentences.  Last night Bogie demanded my attention, beginning just moments after I fell asleep until after 2:00 this morning.

Now I am going to begin reading today’s posts.

I've been a busy little bee today.  Took the CD of Writer's Block to the printers, the cover for it to Kinko's (where they'll Xerox it and trim it), and made my first mp3s and windows media music files - what fun.  Unfortunately, I've only written two pages and must now get crackin and write at least two more before it gets dark out and I have to go looking for blood.

Well there isn't much on TV tonight, MRBK - so you won't be missing anything.....at least anything that won't be re-run before the first of the year.

Venice!  I meant to say I want to go to Venice before it sinks.  I don't believe that Vienna is sinking at all (at this time.)

I am really tired-I read that as Venice and didn’t understand why you were repeating yourself.   It might help if I sat closer to the moniter so I can see better.

DRELMORE wasn't CALL ME MADAM in Lichtenstein rather than Lichtenburg?  I am not certain....

DRJRand54, in the words of the Divine Miss M, Bang, you're dead!  Lichtenburg!

I've just been hired by the Jule styne office to score DARLING OF THE DAY for a handful of players for a production in 2005, for Light Opera Works in Chicago, I think.  Yay!  I love this show.

DRJRand54, when I follow up tomorrow, I'll check on your song.

DRJR, Liechtenstein is real and Lichtenburg is fictional (as the opening of the show says, the play is laid in two mythical countries. One is called Lichtenburg, the other...the United States - or something to that effect).

There is a real city called Lichtenburg just outside of Johannesburg in South Africa.

I have had the good fortune to travel to many of my dream vacations-heck, I’m living in one of them.

I would like to return to Italy, France, England, Germany, Ireland and Scotland, mostly to return to places I loved and visit the places I missed the first time.

There are still many areas of the US I haven’t seen such as Montana or New Mexico.  I hope one day to return to Sedona and tour through the Rockies again.

I have a dream to travel to Australia and New Zealand.  I hear there is a wonderful cruise to these places.

Most of all I want to travel to England and visit the growing number of my cousins we have found on the internet.  My latest cousin is named Jane so I must meet her.

I took a short trip into town and the park today.  Wisely I left my camera at home.  I think I have more than enough photos.

Just finished two more pages and am done for the day.  I'm in the big penultimate scene, which I'm having fun doing.  Then all there is after that is a little tag and the end credits (which I'm writing - not the credits themselves, but their backplate).  So, hopefully I'll be right on sched and I'll be finished by Monday.

Well, I wouldn't call myself an expert. ::) My sister's boyfriend (Larry...not to be confused with D.R. Elmore) taught me everything that I know about making CDs.  I've figured out a few things, but only because Larry installed the programs on my computer.  But if someone has questions, I could try to answer some...of course, I make no guarantees!

DRs, thanks for the warm welcome back - I was going through withdrawal when my computer was down.

DRs Jane and Laura, the photos are stunning. They brighten the day. Please keep them coming.

And DR Jane, I hope tonight is an easy one for you and Bogie.

DR Elmore, I too love Darling of the Day. Congrats on the gig. I missed the show when it tried out in Toronto. Maybe I'll catch it in Chicago.

Just heard from our Japanese lurker, whose plane was delayed.  So, we'll meet tomorrow at noon at the Beverly Hilton hotel.  But, here's the amusing thing - the person named Hisako, that I'd for some reason just presumed was a he is a she.  Isn't that funny?

Yay, DRelmore!  Guess the phone rang, huh?

My #1 dream vacation right now is to go to Paris with my husband in 2006 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.

Ginny, it is true what they say about Paris.  It is a very romantic city.

DiT thank you for your good wishes.  One way or another I’m sleeping tonight, even if I need a little assistance.

Bruce that is funny.  Have fun and tell her to post when she returns.  It will be fun having someone from Japan posting.  I would like to hear what her favorite foods are.

I didn’t know that photo posted.  I lost my connection and haven’t been back until now.

I'm back! And right on topic, I've had a dream vacation. But my brain is fried. I've been up for over 24 hours. Set out on my travels at 4 AM Budapest time -- which is 7 PM yesterday LA time. (Didn't bother going to bed last night.) Flew to Amsterdam - a two hour flight. Made my way through their huge airport to my transfer gate. Went through an hour's worth of lines and security there. Then flew around 13 hours to LA.
Have picked up the wonderdog from the kennel and started going through 2 weeks worth of mail. And those are just the highlights. My day begins early tomorrow, so perhaps I should get some REST.
