DR Ginny, who the hell were the other two in Rodgers & Hart?  He was in "Jacques Brel" as well, I think. Fid knows where all my programs are now.  Library of Congress? Miami Library?

Was Mike's last name Nelson?  And did Maurita work with you at Office Outfitters?

Becky thinks it was Carter. I really do not remember!

Becki's right.  I do, indeed, have a program - check your email.

I even replied.

The playwright Peter Shaffer has died.

May he rest in peace.

Picked up a couple of packages, helper came by, and now relaxing until the banquet.  I'll leave around six.  Ms. Clinton is here and I don't know what that's going to do to the traffic.

Just got the rather sad news that Mystery and Imagination Books is closing - no one supports mom and pop bookstores anymore and they should be ashamed of themselves.  It was a wonderful store - you could go there, hang out for hours, meet like-minded folks and attend signings.  I did signings for every one of my books there - in fact, I was the first author to ever sign there and there have been hundreds since me.  And next year, I will not be signing there because people just do not care enough.  Oh, they will - you'll read, "Oh, it's so sad we can't go there anymore" when they never went there in the first place.  It's much more fun for people to feel nostalgia for something rather than actually support it.  It was like that for vinyl, only guess what - it made a comeback and suddenly there are mom and pop vinyl stores everywhere so people can relive what they had in the first place.  I tell you, it turns my stomach.

She was probably right.  And they were noisy, too!

Watching "The Long, Hot Summer." It's not a great movie, but, damn, Paul Newman is hotter than the title, and you can't resist him any more than Joanne Woodward can.

The script is Oklahoma! meets Tennessee Williams, and not from the top drawer of either.

Thank you, Kerry. I forgot Manhattan, which may be my favorite R&Hart song, especially the way Dinah Washington sings it.
