Well, you've read the notes, the notes had the thirty-minute rule, and now it is time for you to post until the thirty-minute cows come home.

I like the honey roasted cashews, but I really prefer just regular salted cashews...they're my favorite.

But if the honey roasted are the only kind available, I wouldn't turn them down. :)

Well, I really need to get to bed now.  I have interviews fairly in the morning.  One of my staff retired last month (the one who replaced me when I became the supervisor) and I need to hire her replacement.  We have a couple of internal candidates (including one already in our department), and a couple of externals.  We'll see how it goes.

I slept rather well.  I have to be out of here around 9:15.  i'm meeting my friend Ben Davis, who's got two weeks off of The Sound of Music tour, for coffee.  I haven't seen him since he came to the Merry Widow concert at Trinity Church two years ago.

I didn't know the thirty-minute rule.   I knew about the "seven-block rule" - not to say anything negative about a show that any friends are involved in until you're seven blocks away from the theatre.

I may do laundry when I get home.  I need to finish "Adelaide's Lament," and get on to the title song.  I want to finish Act One this week.

And I need to call Joshie about a trip to City Center this week to pick up a package that was sent to me there.  I have no idea what it is, but I know it's from Adam Alexander, who was once of the Collegians on the ROBERTA recording.  When I last saw Adam, he was moving to Paris to marry a Parisienne he had been seeing for some time.  His family lives inb Manhattan and I believe he's singing in a summer opera company in the States at the moment.

I can't quite put a face to the name, but I remember being introduced to him by DR Elmore at Trinity.

Two years ago!  Those concerts were so nice to take a day in the city to attend.

Ben Davis is a high school in Indianapolis.

We had FOUR trash cans this morning.  Three of them were full of limbs and leaves that we trimmed from the BIG bushes we had in the front and back yard.

Heavy!

TOD:

Most successful:  No bread or pasta....maybe a bit now and then....and NO EATING after 6 p.m.  That's what I'm doing now, and I have lost 25 pounds....in about six months.  No exercise or anything or it would have been more.  I want to lost another 25 pounds before the end of the year.

Least successful: Any of the banana or hot dog diets.....

In tribute to my friend, DR ChasSmith, I am having a PB&J. I have no other food in the apartment.

I have no other food in the apartment.

And isn't that exactly what PB&Js are for, sometimes?

Most diets work temporarily, but then you gain all the weight (and usually more) back.  You have to find a way of eating right for you-- which for most people includes many small meals throughout the day to keep their bodies and brains fueled.  You don't do too well if your body has nothing to run on.
