DR Jennifer if you are more than half way through a book do you count it for 2016 or 2017?

Well I finished my book yesterday so I did not have that problem.  I personally would have marked it as done yesterday. Or I would go back and add yesterday's date as the finished date.  Otherwise it screws up the goodreads challenge. I want to start fresh on the new challenge starting today.

Since I'm not halfway through my book, it's part of the 2017 list.

I figure the year that I read the majority of the book should get the credit so I pushed myself last night to get past the half book mark before falling asleep.

My hairdresser in Ashland, and her sister, were both diagnosed with MS around the same times.  I went to her for 18 years before we moved and they were both doing fantastic.  Granted they had the kind that goes into remission vs the progressive one.  Newer medications and treatments made a big difference to them.

I like to spend a little time on New Year's Day getting organized for the new year. I did that and am glad it's done.

Vibes to DR Michael. I'm glad no one was hurt, but I imagine you're feeling rather rattled. I would be.

Time for the third Brokenwood mystery. Too bad there are only four of these.

Today we saw "Manchester By the Sea" and to my surprise I was disappointed with it.  I won't go into my reasons and they are spoilers.  I think Keith liked it less than I did.  We both did not care for the music.  At one point Keith leaned over and said they needed to turn it down. Affleck & Williams both gave excellent performances.

John G, have you ever considered making a cherpumple? I imagine one could be quite imaginative with it. It's imaginative to start with.

Found out that a friend of mine, a chef, has been diagnosed with Parkinson's. He's only in his 40s.

That is a shame, especially for a chef.  Vibes the newer treatments can keep it under control for a long time.

That is what I'm hopeful for. I lost a friend at church, Bruce, to the disease about 18 months ago. Some of the treatments they have are revolutionary, but they just weren't in time for Bruce.

My aunt, the nun, was diagnosed with Parkinson's several years ago.  I guess it's slowly progressing with her and the medications have been helping, so she's not in a horrible position...but still. :-\

Actually, that sounds like fun.

I don't know that I have cake pans big enough to make cherpumple.

And until I get back all these holiday baked goods, I don't have low enough blood sugar to contemplate such a feast.

I understand. Any condition without a treatment is hard to deal with.

Instead of a proper dinner we snacked on little barbecued weiners, cold shrimp with lemon and cocktail sauce and cheese and crackers
