It looks I can get airline tix for March for $159 each way from SA to LaGuardia. I guess I'm coming to New York in March.

Great!

Have fun!

Speaking of NY in March is there any thought as to when the HHW get-together might be?  And has anyone bought tickets for The New Yorkers yet?

I would suggest tickets for the weekend.  I suspect I may still be writing until the opening night.  By Friday, the orchestra and cast have settled into the show as well.

I've been out to dinner with my friend Bruce Pomahac, who's in town for the cast recording of Holiday Inn.

Thanks, DR elmore!  I will probably be coming for the weekend, as it turns out.  I'm wondering if others are planning on going to the same show or are we just meeting for a meal?

Well, I've been at work for too long, so I'm leaving now.

Until later.

There are a few other shows that I'd like to see, such as Groundhog Day and Jitney.

We just finished watching DEEPWATER HORIZON.

It makes THE TOWERING INFERNO look like a campfire.

And, this actually happened.  It's amazing that anybody survived.

Watching White Mane, from Albert Lamorisse, the director of The Red Balloon.

This is in black and white, and the photography of the wild horses is just beautiful.

I look forward to seeing that. I have an acquaintance in the BBQ business who works 28 days straight on one of those rigs and then 28 days off in West Texas making barbecue.

Got my tickets for New York. Paid for them with miles, which I've never done before.

Tomorrow, I'm volunteering at the governor's inaugural ball as one of eight (I think) coatcheck persons for the first shift.  I have to get there between 5:00 and 5:30, and my shift is 6:00 to 9:15.  The second shift is 9:00 to 11:45.  To be able to volunteer for this, we had to fill out and go through a Washington state background check.  I guess I passed.
