I heard he might be playing the child catcher in Chitty.  If so, I might be going to NYC sooner than I thought.

It would have been GREAT to see both Mr. A and Mr. B in the SAME play but......Oh, well.

Gee, DR TD, I have always loved Meatloaf.  Haven't I ever mentioned that he is one of my 3 Michaels?  It seems like every singer I like is one.

Michael Aday (MeatLoaf)-- Mr. A.  (BTW I know his birth name was Melvin but he changed to Michael--at least last that I knew of.  It fair broke my heart when he cut his hair.)

Michael Ball-- Mr. B.
Michael Crawford-- Mr. C.

Danise, did you know that there will be a Michael Ball concert broadcast on the BBC Radio2 site on Christmas eve?  It'll be available for seven days after that!  Click HERE[/url] to get to the site (if you didn't already know about it).

To the New Yorkers who were at the reading, sorry I had to play wussburger and leave but it's been a long day and I don't want to fall asleep at Joe Allen's. That being said, it was a wonderful reading. Very funny and well attended. Der Brucer and Woody made the trek from Delaware. Noel was there along with Elan, Dear Penny and Lovely Larry. Scarlet Street was well represented and for Mr. William F. Orr, you missed your chance, Mr. Barrett was in attendance, along with our own California Cool Bruce Kimmel. Wine, cheese, seltzer and some wonderful cookies were available for a nosh and Brucer took some pictures which I assume will be posted tomorrow or some time soon. We heard Chapter One of the book and a bit of the What If segment. Laughs and laughs and more laughs. Lovely Larry gave me a Christmas CD which as I listen is quite lovely. Thanks, Mr. Moore!

I had a wonderful time in the bookstore (it was full for the reading, very nice to see). I look forward to a report from the Joe Allen side of the party.

From today's on-line edition of the NY Times (updated). Is that a Guy Haines sighting?

Hmmm, could be. He was heard singing at the signing and I think he was hiding behind a bookcase in the store as well.

Wonderful News, Ben!  I'm so very glad it went well.  :D

Thank you also, George.  I think you or someone else here told me about it and I made it an appointment in my Outlook with the web site.  I'm very much looking forward to it!  Thank you, again!  I can't be reminded to many times.  :)

Danise, I was planning on recording it and making a CD of it.  If you want, I could send you a copy, too!  Let me know.

Also, I won this a little earlier today on eBay!!  It was a "Buy It Now" purchase!  The description says, "Vinyl is in great near Mint condition. Jacket still has original shrink wrap."

I've wanted to ask, is there a way to download things like that onto a hard drive so you can burn them to disk?  I so wanted to do that with the "Ball Over Broadway" shows.

My copy of W in W arrived today td. Hope it's more enjoyable than the stage show. It made "The Beautiful Game" look like superb theatre. (At least I stayed through that one).
Also received a copy of Mama Mia - No! "Carmelina" which I had on vinyl only.  Buena Sera Mrs Campbell.

Score-wise, dr tomovoz, I was hooked after the first five bars.
Zippel's lyrics are quite good, as always for him; and I do like the re-worked ending. . . .different than the novel, slightly.

I've been rather a Chatty Cathy tonight but as with all things there must be an end.

Have a good evening all!  I'm so glad the signing went well and look forward to the pictures and the stories about it all tomorrow.

Now, wait a minute!

Nobody said anything about the WSM attending the signing.  I would have sold my left kidney to be there for that (oh,and to see BK do his reading)

Next thing you know, someone is going to tell me that he went to Joe Allen's, also!

Wooohoooooooooooo - it sounds like it was GREAT!

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - I want to be there!  Well when DRDANISE wins the lottery she can buy me the costume and send me to NYC.  Thanks, DANISE.

DRMS - I was also on that flight.  I loaned a nun my guitar so she could sing a song to a little girl in the back who was flying someplace to get a kidney transplant.  It was scary for awhile, but once the stewardess took the controls, I was confident we would be okay.  After all, Doris Day took a plane in once!

I can hardly wait for the photos.  I imagine some wait person at Joe Allen's is having a great time about now!

I watched "The Librarian."  It was pretty silly, but I enjoyed it.  I wonder if they originally wanted it as a pilot for a series.  They certainly left it open for one.

I was thinking that and wondering...  Is ER still on and is Noah Wyle still on the show?

Killjoy alert:

The Mad Show is due on CD in February.  Sorry, but you were going to hear about it sooner or later.

That's so strange. I was talking with my friend tonight and he said exactly the same thing!

But then again he is reconsidering not leaving ER at the end of season. Maybe this pilot was not picked up.

I saw Closer, the new Mike Nichols film this evening Dear Readers.  The acting all around is superb, but the four main characters are the ugliest people (emotionally, not physically) I've seen on screen in a very long time.

Thanks DR DANISE!   ;D

And now, for those extremely wealthy HHW'ers who are looking for that perfect Christmas present for me (to display NOT to wear), I offer this link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=790&item=3857925723&rd=1

It is less expensive than the $10,000 ghost someone recently purchased on e-bay.  ???

td GOOD HEALTH VIBES FOR YOUR FATHER!

DiT-LOL-poor Andrea
Are you waiting until tomorrow to eat the latkes?  Keith says they are too fattening so we won’t have any.  And his are the best!
George how old is your niece?

Ben, lovely tree.  It looks like I won’t get one this year, so please everyone, lots of pretty pictures of your trees will be appreciated.

Danise I haven’t read your email but I just corrected my holiday mailing list.
Reading about flowers blooming at this time of year is nice for me.

Tomovoz is it spring yet in your part of the world?

Keith’s latkes are a bit different: potatoes, eggs, lots of onions, whole wheat flour, inst dry milk, salt, baking powder, pepper, chopped parsley, cinnamon, and toasted sesame seeds.

What quandary? Both is the only reasonable answer.

Salt on latkes is the only answer for me which annoys my family when I forget to buy them applesauce.

I assume DR Nurse Jane avoids Meatloaf. I really don't think there is a substitute.

Kind of, but there was the time we ordered a vegetarian meatloaf and it was fantastic.  After asking the waitress what they used instead of meat she said "oh, you wanted the vegetarian meatloaf".  Our friends we were having dinner with couldn't stop laughing at expressions of horror. ;D
