Steve's show is based on the film about H.G. Wells and Jack the Ripper.

Hmmm... A friend of mine was the original writer on that (was rewritten and got "Story by" credit, I believe). I wonder if he knows about this...

I'm quite sure Stephen was meticulous in getting rights, Panni.  He also adapted "Night of the Hunter," which our very own BK produced as a cast album.

I watched some episodes of Brit TV drama "M.I.5" last night (Thanks to a certain DR). Had missed the show here where it is called "Spooks". Great suspense writing. Will now check out the new series which starts here soon. A TV show that knows how to use "Silence" - now that is a change.
Unsettling TV as it could all be so "real".

Back at the hotel after a nice meeting with Skip and Fred Landau.  I'll just relax now until the signing.  It's very gray and rainy here.  I do hope we have a nice crowd - I did talk to a dealer friend of mine who said they received no e-mail notice from the store.  If they didn't invite their clientele I'm afraid we may be a bit of a bust this evening.

You might think going to Vegas might have been an explanation.  But I've gotten the same hard time even just going to NYC with my sis.

Well, when you bring a bridesmaid along with you, what are they to think?  :)

Jed has posted three times in the last three days.  It was either the slapping, or he was so touched by the message of SCROOGE that he felt obligated to come back here and help the less fortunate.[/size]

With so many posts to catch up on, I'm choosing to skip the travel stories because travel always raises my blood pressure and I really don't need to hear about horrors.  If I wait longer than five minutes for the 1 train, I get incredibly antsy.

When I hear about anybody's trip to some exotic locale, I wonder if the being there was worth the getting there.

Well, we've just found out that this bookstore where we're doing the signing neglected to even mention the signing on their website - furthermore (and I may be wrong, waiting to hear), it seems they didn't send out a mass e-mail to their clientele as they should have.  Who knows if it's even mentioned IN the store - which means, unless I'm wrong which I'm hoping I am, that this party will consist of only people I've invited and, while there will certainly be a few of those, it is not what I was told or what I expected would be happening.  So, if you're in NY and coming, bring extra people.  If you're in NY and not coming, send people.  If you're not in NY and know people in NY tell them to come.

I know this is lazy - I should search the archives. But what's the location and the time of the signing? I'll try to reach a friend in NYC.

George your sister needs to teach Murphy to "leave".  ;D Echo picks up, leaves, drops and delivers items to me on command.  In our last house I taught her to run out and pick up the newspaper.   The result, she wanted to pick up everyone’s paper when we were walking.
Did you watch THE LIBRARIAN?  We did.  I enjoyed the silliness of it more than Keith did, which was not at all.

Matt H I agree with your opinion on LOST.  We actually watched it on the same day it aired.

Noel congrats on the success of Generation F'd.
Joy looks very bright and cute.

Jose good luck with your niece tomorrow.

I’m off to package and mail Chanukah cookies to Bryan.

Took a DVD off the shelf that's been haning around since my birthday (a gift from a friend) - THE BEST OF TRIUMPH THE INSULT COMIC DOG. Crude and repetative as the humor often is, I have to admit I did laugh a good bit, and the puppetmaster is a very quick thinker on his feet and got off some very witty and appropriate lines.

I have to leave in an hour and a half to make my PR gig tonight. I'll have to practice in the car on the way there.

There's no reason why anything concerning me would come off the b'wayworld board.  They're supposed to be there tonight taking photos.  We've had confirmation that they did indeed screw up by not sending an e-mail to their clientele.  There is a sign in the store, however, and she said she's been getting calls about it, so maybe we'll be all right.

I agree about LOST.  I like learning more about the characters.  And really liked learning the backstory of the pregnant lady.

But the best part was the end.  I cannot wait to find out more about that passenger!

DRLAURA sent me a souvenir book from the OLIVER! tour.  And my cousin saw it a few weeks ago in Columbus, Ohio.  He said he enjoyed it.

It IS a non-Equity tour, and I asked him if there were any pickets there on the day he saw it, and he said nope.

IATSE members work the stage crew, but there is NO Equity notice in the program.

You can check it out at www.oliverontour.com

Mark McCracken is Fagin, Renata Renee Wilson is Nancy, Shane R. Tanner is Bill Sykes, and Ryan Tuttin is Oliver.

I watched "The Librarian."  It was pretty silly, but I enjoyed it.  I wonder if they originally wanted it as a pilot for a series.  They certainly left it open for one.

Jane, my sister was lucky to even get him to "drop it!"  She and her daughter are NOT dog people..she shouldn't have given into my niece's plea to get a dog.  They've never really trained Murphy.  It's been quite a while now, but they've accepted the fact that he will be as much of a pill as he is and they'll just have to deal with it until...he has taken his last breath.  ::)
