We had a great show tonight, a very responsive crowd, AND our very own DR George was in attendance.  We have now actually met face to face!!  Thank you. George, for driving up to see the show.

Yes, I drove up to...wherever the heck TCB's Scrooge is playing.  Port Orchard, that's it!  I decided on a whim to go tonight because I said that I'd like to see the show and meet TCB in person!  I called the box office of the theater and they said that Sunday was sold out!  That would have been the best time for me to go.  I was also told that Saturday was sold out!  I said "how about tonight?" (Friday) and was told, "We have four tickets left."  I said, "I'll take one!"  And I did.  I left work early (I have to go into work today and make up some more hours, anyway) and drove as fast as I could go.  There were several stretches of road where I was cruising at 80 mph! :o What was I thinking??  Anway, I got there at about 7:00 (whew) and the performance started at 7:45.  Plenty of time.

Ok, Panni, if there's bitchslapping, page dancing, and any Hungarian equivalents of "unseemly" and/or "ginchy" at this other site, then I'll be afraid...

The Hungarian site, BTW, is called "Habostorta.hu" which translates as "cake with whipped cream." The "subtitle" under the site name is "the biggest cake"... An alternate universe, I tell you!

I believe you'd meet other dear readers, such as Jay, Panni, and the Pogues, and even PennyO.

Here you go:

I must say that the theater was small.  I think they said it holds 78 people.  It's a true community theater.  People putting on a show because they love it.  It was delightful.  Tom (a.k.a. TCB) was quite the Scrooge.  His transformation from miser to...no-longer-a-miser was very effective.  Their Tiny Tim was the cutest Tiny Tim that I'd ever seen!  I'm glad I went.  Tom and I chatted for a bit afterwards.  He introduced me to a couple of friends of his and then he had to mingle with the rest of the adoring crowd.  Since I had a long drive back home, I left shortly afterwards.

Happy Birthday, Dan-TM and PennyO.

Vibes to DR Ann, to DR Jose's family, to DR TCB, and to everyone else who thinks they need them.

Check it out for yourself, son of TCB and brother of Ann and nephew of bk. Do I have it right? And does that mean that bk and TCB are brothers? That they're part of the bktcb clan? A clan which eschews vowels? (That's the first time I've ever said "which eschews" and I must add that it requires a "Gesundheit!")

And, simply in coincidence with today's title, der B and I feasted on goose breasts tonight!

They were simply grilled, but I served them with a fruit compote made of apples, oranges, and raspberries and simmered in a pomegranite/apple cider.

I also roasted a big batch of chestnuts, some of which i included in the rice I served on the side, and I boiled up some boiler onions, which I then cooked a little further with some butter and five-spice powder.

We do eat yummiliciously in this house!

I haven't got my partay clothes on. In all honesty, I don't own a presentable pair of pantaloons. I do have a rather elegant pointy hat with an ostrich feather. As for colored tights - Is black considered a color? I think I still have my black ballet tights somewhere. Perhaps even a white pair. I could be a vision in black, white and ostrich, no?

I'll stick around until we get to Page 3, then I need to put on my bed partay clothes and call it a day (or Fred).

Well, I must end my portion of the par-tay.  I have to get up early in the morning, so I'd like to get some sleep before then...and not just a nap.  So, goodnight all!  I hope PennyO and Dan-the-Man each have a great day today! ;D And Great Job with Scrooge, TCB!!

Okay, here's my one gratuitous post to get us closer to Page 3, so that Panni can go to bed.  Goodnight! :D

I tried to jump in my car but it's very difficult.  Not enough room really and very hard to jump when you're seated.

While you're all thinking of clever posts, I'll take Abie out for his evening pee. I forgot to do it earlier. He's sound asleep and is not going to appreciate being woken up to pee. But he'll thank me later.

So she won't give you the Double Evil Eye? (I guess that would be the Evil EYES.)

No, you're getting it confused with Abie's Irish Poo.
