Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both active and brainy, and now it is time for you to post until the active, brainy cows come home.

T.O.D.

I must confess that I am pretty ignorant when it comes to the Big Bands.

DR JEANNE I am sorry to report that the Mercury retrograde in Leo and Virgo will continue until September 5!  And of course we have the eclipse right in the middle of it.....

Try to avoid major purchases until after that date - expect computer, appliance, and automobile glitches as well.  Communications will be slow or interrupted.....

But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, the play will be great!

DR JEANNE my first round of chemo was 3000 mg of Xyloda a day in pill form.  It was taken during my 28 radiation treatments.  The liquid chemo regimen that I am now on is called Folfox, a combination of Leucovorin Calcium (Folinic Acid), Fluorouracil, and Oxaliplatin given by infusion through my newly installed port.  The first two are given at the hospital in a two hour session, the third over the next 46 hours by a pump.

And that is my story and I am sticking to it!

Lovely notes.  I feel for Mr DOUG.  I go through the same thing every year with the group I have been with since 1979.....

There are so many IDIOTS.....and when I suggest a couple of shows like BUS STOP and SEND ME NO FLOWERS.....they argue and complain and gripe and we end up with THE MOUSETRAP and BAREFOOT IN THE PARK....and of course ANNIE.....not to mention BEAUTY & THE BEAST....

Oh well....maybe I will still be sick....HA.

Last night I had a dream about an apartment scam,   I remember little about it except that I was planning to climb out a second storey window.

I also dreamed I was vomposing music, but I think that was a different dream.

Shameless self-promo plug - Maybe they should do THE LAST STARFIGHTER musical, now that the "suitable for all ages" Family version is available

I can appreciate the conventional big bands (Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, etc.), but I've never felt passionate about them.  Being of my parents' generation, they weren't that exciting to me, though I know the arrangements and performances are great.  That feeling is a deep seated one from childhood.

BK zeros in on the single most amazing one:  Duke Ellington.  The music was so forward looking it still sounds "modern" and electrifying.  His are masterful compositions and I'm sure I haven't heard the half of it.  The score to Anatomy of a Murder is killer, and I wish he'd composed for more films.  His suites and such...well, I said it before and I'll say it again...they're electrifying.
