I keep forgetting to mention I have revised my Farmer essay to include the word excoriates (twice!).  I'm still looking for a place to stick an acolyte or two (so to speak).  Smiley

Oh, and can any of our Mac users tell me if this advice I got is good: They say it's not really necessary to turn the machine off - but to simply put it in "sleep" mode when I'm done for the evening.

Just remember Rule #1 here on HHW: No Groaning Allowed.

Puns a plenty, but no groaning.

-And I think I did have a Caramello Koala when I was in Australia last year too.  *I had 17 pounds of chocolate in one carry-on when I flew out of Sydney.  I was sooo scared Customs was not going to consider it "tinned" food.  Whew!

Matt, I have the extended laserdisc version and made a CD from the soundtrack.  I think I did a pretty good job (in my humble opinion, IMHO in Internet lingo).  It's longer than the actual soundtrack album because I added reprises and a bit of dialogue to help with the continuity.  Would you want a copy?  Let me know.  I also have the original London cast recording of 1776.  It's very interesting...and very British. Dan the Man, I did know that Eisner died.  He is my favourite comic illustrator and writer.  THE SPIRIT was brilliant!  I collected them from years when Warren was publishing them.  Still have them and revisit them often. Harvey comics also put out some Spirit comics earlier than Warren. I'd like to find some of those.  I also have many of Eisner's graphic novels.  He was a hugely influential artist and writer (people forget his writing talent). He inspired a lot of comic greats who regard him as the master.

Thanks for the pic of the Eisner dame.

Welcome five GUESTS.  I can't remember WHAT we're talkin' about.  I do have to get used to the fact that the clock is located upper right rather than lower right.  And that everything in the AOL e-mails is located in the opposite place - very confusing.  However, if that's the worst of it, I'm a happy camper so far.

I was wrong.  It was Kitchen Sink that published the wonderful SPIRIT magazine by Eisner...Warren may have had it in the beginning.  I'd have to check out my stash to be sure.  And I just might.  Those stories are well worth revisiting.
