Well, you've read the notes, the notes had an uptick, and now it is time for you to post until the upticking cows come home.

I guess that "Original Soundtrack" of OLIVER is actually the original 1960 London cast recording.  I didn't realize that Ron Moody was the original Fagin.

Well, all this talk of packing and unpacking has completely worn me out.

Good night, George.

Keith has cancelled his membership, beginning in January, as L.A. Fitness in Vancouver and plans to join one closer to home, or at least one that is not affected by traffic on the freeway when the bridge to Portland is backed up.

He was late getting home today and then we rushed to leave to meet a friend in Portland for lunch.  We were late of course as we had to drive over the bridge that was still backed up.

There was rarely traffic in or around Ashland which was heavenly.

I am very sleepy.  I  got up to use the bathroom around 5:45, and once I got back to bed, I couldn't sleep/  I pondered returning Thatch to his foster parents, I pondered the orchestration I was working on for London, I beat myself up for this whole Thatch mess being handled badly at the beginning, and this went on a hour,  Then I said, to hell with it, and got up.

So, it's one step forward and one back.  I fed Annabelle, then took Thatch's plate into the bathroom.  I sat on the bathroom floor and put the plate down, and he started gobbling it like crazy.  IU picked the plate and put it on my lap.  He put two front powas on my lap and continued to eat while I petted him, rubbing his head, stroking his back.  His tail was straight up in a contented position.

I moved the plate a little more away from him and he climbed completely onto my legs to get to it, and he began to purr.  When the food was gobbled down, he continued to let me et him, purring like crazy.  He wandered arouond the area rubbing against me and letting me pet him.  I tried to pick him up adn he dodged me, but he kept purring and coming in for affection.

He clearly wants to be loved but there's a chip on those little shoulders.

So I sifted his litter, which he's using, thank God, picked up what needed to come with me, and opened the door.  Annabelle got past me.  Thatch was right by the bathroom door as she barged in.  They locked eyes.

Thatch backed away and crouched down,  hissing and spitting while Annabelle looked rather curiously on.

Then the fur flew.

I can't say which one initiated it, but they both spat, shook their claws at each other, Thatch screamed, ran into the tent, and I grabbed Annabelle and beat the hell out of Dodge.

So, I sifted her litter box and took out the garbage. picked up a few things and put the coffee on.

Then, I went back to the bathroom to see how the dust settled.  I fed Thatch some treats; he seemed nonchalant, as though there had never been a brouhaha.  I did pick him up, which he seemed to like before he realized this was for sissies and jimped back down to the floor.  Still, he continued to purr and let me pet him.

Thankfully, I got a solid sleep, quite unlike the last few nights.  Still got some waking up to do, but it'll happen.

It'll have to happen.  I've got rehearsal from noon to four today.

I slept eight hours. Am grateful. Back is a little better. I got out of and back into bed without gut-wrenching pain.
