Well, you've read the notes, the notes were big and moved, and now it is time for you to post until the big moving cows come home.

Well, this is cool...mostly.  The movie Loving Vincent is finally available for preorder.  Sadly, it's only available on DVD...at least right now on Amazon.  Having seen hi-def clips on YouTube, this seems like the kind of movie that screams for a Blu-ray release.

I see my doctor for my 3-month exam, so this morning I have lab work.  I will leave very shortly.  Once that's finished, I'll walk down to the pharmacy and pick up my eye drops, then head home.  I want to block access to the bookshelves today and finish the medley for London.

I spent thirty minutes with Thatch this morning in the bathroom.  I took him out of his carrier, fed him, let him run around the bathroom, stretch and use the litter box.  He's much more fastidious than Annabelle about covering his waste than she is.  When I come home, I'll put Annabelle in her carrier, and leave them in the middle of the apartment next to each other for a couple of hours.

I was very pleased and encouraged to read the kitty people's response last night.

I also believe that someday the Nobel committee will recognize DR Elmore's work in this field.

So, it seems we are to get a little, um, "weather" that wasn't in any damned forecast I looked at yesterday.  I'm hoping we'll be spared the ... you-know-what part of the proceedings.  I have a few errands to run, and mainly, I'm many days behind on leaf clearing and other such things.  I can condense the errand activity into something more manageable, but once it starts raining a little bit, the outdoors work is out.

TOD

Biggest and most difficult move?

I don't know.  It seems like all of my earlier-in-life moves were the kind that could be accomplished in a few car trips.  This is prior to the years of having my own furniture, etc.  In later years, I've always managed to attract either friends who could help in some form or other, and nothing particularly nightmarish comes to mind.  Then I had a few work related cross-country moves that were paid for and executed by the big moving companies, so as huge an undertaking as those were, I can't say they were personally difficult.  (It's really great, in fact, to have all of the difficult stuff accomplished by a staff of people you're not even having to pay for.  Oh yes indeed it is.)

Okay, I'll pick this one:  The move from my first place in Danbury (a very decent two-story townhouse type of apartment) to a rented house a few miles away had to be largely accomplished by me, and in somewhat of a rush situation because the apartment had just been sold quicker than expected.  I had local guys move the furniture and a lot of large items, but I remember a hectic night from Hell when I was schlepping several carloads of the last stuff over there myself, and I thought it would never end.  Nothing noteworthy about it, just that it was a time when I could have used a lot of help and had completely failed to plan for it.

I'm sure you all found that to be a very interesting story.  Hey, I've got more where that one came from!  :)

Sounds like the party has quite a nice budget!

I've cleaned the litter boxes, vacuumed, and I am now using sheets and towels to block all access under the bookshelves.  I'm ready for a bath and a nap.

When this is finished, I will put Annabelle, who's currently hiding from the vacuum, in her carrier, and then bring Thatch in his out into the living space.

While she cannot help me orchestrate or climb all over me while I do, I'm writing checks and finishing this medley!

Always. We’ve had ZZ Top, Kool and the Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire before.

I need to go to the basement and I can't!  Damned elevator.  I would swear that since March it's been our of service 33% of the time.

Very cool!  At many office parties I've been to, there's been lots of Wind, but no Earth or Fire.
