T.O.D. (2):

I do recall that I loved "Moments to Remember," Phil Harris' "The Thing," and Robert Mitchum's "The Ballad of Thunder Road".

I had a lot of family dreams last night:  in one, my mother was baking my brother Randy a birthday cake, a chocolate sponge cake filled with cherries. In the other, my brother Macbeth and I went shopping for a new suit sonce the wool one I was wearing was full of moth holes.  There was something about driving on a country road, being stuck behind a car making a left turn, but it's too vague now.

In one of these dreams, or possibly another, my two brothers and I were re-arrangig the bedroom we shared before my dad converted the attic into bedrooms.,

My referral is in, so the follow-up procedure to my epidural can go ahead next Tuesday.  I also need to make a follow-up appointment for Thatch with Dr Romero this week.

T.O.D.

I'll be 77 next month, and you expect me to remember the first piece of music I loved?

Sometimes I can't remember why I walked into a room.

The Golden Globes were okay last night.

I think it was a mistake to bring Kirk Douglas out on stage.

Yes, he should be honored, but is that the image of him you want to remember?

Just my opinion....

I was wondering at that time whether that's what's behind Doris Day's unusual decision to not make more public appearances, meaning maybe there's a memory she'd prefer that the fans forever have of her.

Continued writing vibes for MR BK.

Getting through it vibes for DR JOHN G.
Yes.  I don't usually discuss my illness or surgery or anything like that, because a LOT of people then start long dialogs beginning with "I"......  It's the last thing I want to hear about.

It is 35 degrees here today!  Very nice!  Of course I have a headache, but that should be gone soon.

Nice links DR DRUXY.

I had NO interest in watching the Golden Globes last night and listen to all the POLITICAL patter and jokes.....and listening to Oprah lecture us in the same tone of voice she uses to sell Weight Watchers crappy food.....or hear Deb Messing get on her high horse about something she knows NOTHING about.....

Slept poorly last night. In fact, I turned the light on and read 60 pages to finish a not-so-short story.

So, of course I got a call at 8 saying the surgery time was changed. I now have to be there at 5 am. Also, the surgery planner contradicted his own paperwork and said I should not take my decongestant. I hope I don’t subconsciously sneeze through the procedure.

Monday morning greetings!  Richard's ear ache has not improved, so he has a 2pm doctor's appointment.

This answers my question of when you have to be there.

I have never heard of a surgery planner.  I have had the anesthesiologist call me the night before.

So last night Rob was at work, Mary Linda was sleeping, and Richard and I were watching the Golden Globes in the family room at the back of the house.  Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon were bantering and, from the front of the house, we heard a crash and breaking glass.

That's one way to get a Christmas tree down:

Sorry about the commercial before the video, but this kitten is too cute not to share with our cat lovers here.

This is the kids' live cut tree.  What you can't see is that there was water all over the floor, along with broken ornaments and a gazillion pine needles.  Of course, Mary Linda woke up and the three of us cleaned up as best we could.  They lost a few ornaments, but it could have been a lot worse.

Richard and I will use a more conventional method to get rid of our artificial tree in the family room...

Yeah, DR Jane, that's kind of what I said.  I'm just glad it wasn't a thief coming in through the picture window.

PS:  the cat is innocent - she was sleeping upstairs, too.

I thought twice than figured the cat was innocent.  My guess, the tree stand was not sturdy enough.

If I normally watched I would have protested.  I simply feel politics do not belong at awards ceremonies.  I can understand Oprah talking about abuse since it is something she lived with, still I didn't listen to her speech.

That's the consensus - and they will buy a new one before putting up next year's tree.

It's kinda like a wedding planner.
