Watching Lucky with Harry Dean Stanton and a wild performance by David Lynch. Good stuff.

Sorry not enough people saw this movie. I think Stanton deserves an Oscar nomination. I also thought Sam Elliott in Hero was good enough for a nomination. Neither will get one, however.

What the HELL?

If I even heard of this, I must have immediately forgotten it.  Definitely want to see it.

So, of course I got a call at 8 saying the surgery time was changed. I now have to be there at 5 am. Also, the surgery planner contradicted his own paperwork and said I should not take my decongestant. I hope I don’t subconsciously sneeze through the procedure.

This answers my question of when you have to be there.

I have never heard of a surgery planner.  I have had the anesthesiologist call me the night before.

It's kinda like a wedding planner.

The second one sounds like more fun.

Oh no.  Vibes you don't have to deal with getting it repaired after surgery.

From DR George:

I have an app on my phone that can resize photos if they're too large a file size (192KB) to post through HHW's "Attachments and other options" link when you preview a post.  Otherwise, I only hot-link from existing photos already on the Internet

Is 192KB the file size I need to reduce to?

DR Jrand when you share my photos how do you do it?

Same question to DR Chas who shares kitty photos, and to anyone who is still putting personal photos up.

Sorry about the Christmas tree crash, Ginny. I hope no one was hurt.

Thanks, DR John G.  No casualties, except a few ornaments.

I think we left our Christmas tree stand in Ashland.  It looked a bit like this but I think it had a deeper hole for the tree.  It was very solid though a bit more work to set up.

I am home from City Center.  The kitties are bitching because I left them all day and they want food.  Annabelle got all clingy when I came in, Thatch could care less as long as I feed him.

Joshie and I had a good time today.  We needed some answers on the numbers from Sail Away, and then I proofread two pieces from Greenwillow.  We continue tomorrow.

My sister has a very heavy duty cast iron Christmas tree stand.  I found these pictures online of the kind that she has:

Jane, yes, 192KB is the largest that the file size can be.  It's misleading, though.  It says "Restrictions: 4 per post, maximum total size 192KB, maximum individual size 256KB."  But the individual maximum is actually 192KB.  I think that the website owners should change the wording.  Maybe BK should let them know that it's not correct. :-\

I had NO interest in watching the Golden Globes last night and listen to all the POLITICAL patter and jokes.....and listening to Oprah lecture us in the same tone of voice she uses to sell Weight Watchers crappy food.....or hear Deb Messing get on her high horse about something she knows NOTHING about.....

If I normally watched I would have protested.  I simply feel politics do not belong at awards ceremonies.  I can understand Oprah talking about abuse since it is something she lived with, still I didn't listen to her speech.

I thought that it was a very good speech. :)

T.O.D.

I'll be 77 next month, and you expect me to remember the first piece of music I loved?

Sometimes I can't remember why I walked into a room.

 ???

I'm only 51 and I've had that problem for years!

My referral is in, so the follow-up procedure to my epidural can go ahead next Tuesday.  I also need to make a follow-up appointment for Thatch with Dr Romero this week.

Great news about the referral, Larry!
