Still snowing here... Nice, big, fluffy flakes.

The street looks OK, it's sticking mainly to the grass.

Oh, I think it's time to take a pic!

vixmom and Jrand54, If I remember (and understand my short term memory is terrible), I'll ask Harlan your questions..about convention and Bracken's World.  I would think the convention would have a website that lists its guest speakers and panelists.

Do not speak of garter belts to me or BK.  There is nothing we mourn more than the loss of this wonderful apparel...despite how uncomfortable it was for you poor girls.  Just kill all our fantasies.

Holy moley on rye - page six!  RASPBERRY.

So far we've got two people who can come to the reading.  We must have more.

I've been merrily writing away and shall now take a break.  I'll go see if any packages have arrived today.  I shall return momentarily.  And yes, Viriginia, I shall be having PIE this very evening.

Der Brucer and I went to see PennyO in her show, this very show, last year at a theater just north of Philly.  We had a wonderful time, and Penny is wonderful presenting her material.

We're still deciding on whether we can make the trip up this time.  We want to, but getting the brakes re-done on the car is costing us a grand ol' grand.  I've got my fingers crossed, and we should know soon.

The rain has stopped and so far no snow. But it is uncomfortably cold outside, prime for snow.

Yes, I knew that MEDIUM had been renewed. I'm now waiting to see if HOUSE gets a second season pick-up. Its ratings have improved so much now that AMERICAN IDOL gives it a decent lead-in that it landed in the Top 20 last week.

As well she should have DR MATTH.  And her final moment when she is slapped by Margaret Hamilton is delicious to behold.

Little Marcia Mae Jones is good as well...and she was so simpering not long after as Clara in Shirley Temple's HEIDI.

That was a ramble, but I cannot think of anyone to invite for dinner except a group of people I'd like to poison, so I'll leave those folk to your imagination.

Well, I certainly thank you for not naming us individually!

I've been merrily writing away and shall now take a break.  I'll go see if any packages have arrived today.  I shall return momentarily.  And yes, Viriginia, I shall be having PIE this very evening.

Perhaps Mr Guy Haines should do the Jerome Kern song "Pie" from STEPPING STONES (1923):
  Lemon, apple, pumpkin, squash
Peach and custard, Oh, my gosh!
  Prune and apricot and quince
  Cherry, coconut and mince
  Plum and raisin, currant, too
Every pie that you can chew
  Blackberry, strawberry, cranberry, gooseberry,
  Mulberry, huckleberry, blueberry, elderberry
  Whortleberry, raspberry, raspberry, raspberry
  Rah! Rah! Rah!
  Pie! Pie! Pie!
Through the western country where the whiskers fly
In the great big open spaces real he-men fill up their faces
  Full of pie, pie, pie!

Hey, der Brucer!  Guess who's coming to dinner!

Film director Michael Curtiz
Animator Chuck Jones
Actor Gregory Peck
Actress Diana Rigg
and Cartoonist Charles Shultz.

DR Jose, your snow looks lovely.  Would you please be so kind as to persuade it to stay and visit with you awhile?  I have heard rumors that it was thinkingof traveling  to my neck of the woods, but I am afraid I am not in the mood for snowy guests this weekend!!

DR Jose - Looks like the snow we had in southern Ohio last evening traveled due east.  It was quite pretty here, but didn't interfere too much with driving - the roads were just slushy.  Thanks for the photos.

I would think the convention would have a website that lists its guest speakers and panelists.

You would, wouldn't you?  Unfortunately this whole thing is put together with volunteers and students, the  last I heard they were advertising for someone to volunteer as a webmaster and the site had vitually no useful information on it.

Do not speak of garter belts to me or BK.  There is nothing we mourn more than the loss of this wonderful apparel...despite how uncomfortable it was for you poor girls.  Just kill all our fantasies.

One can still get them, if one knows where to look, and although they are not ideal everyday wear, for special occassions.....

And yet she bitched Shirley to a fair thee well in THE LITTLE PRINCESS two years later. I liked her.

Hmmmm....the Collector's Choice DVD catalog describes it thusly:

Hercules The Avenger/Hercules and the Black Pirate.  A pair of titan-sized adventures starring the legendary Reg Park as Hercules.  The son of Zeus must battle the servants of the underworld to rescue his kidnapped son in Hercules the Avenger, then he must battle rogues and pirates to survive in a strange land -- the future -- in Hercules and the Black Pirate.  1965/170 minutes/color

Ah, that is the set that is coming out next week! HERCULES AND THE BLACK PIRATE stars Alan Steel rather then Reg Park...Critic's Choice Video have their muscles mixed up! LOL!

PS: I ordered the CRITIC'S CHOICE PRIVATE SECRETARY episodes on DVD!
