Six degrees of separation: one of the Tree of Life victims is a relative of my composer friend Ryan Shore, nephew of film composer Howard Shore.

So sorry, Elmore.

Can I go home and read? Lethal White is getting really good. I have passed the halfway point and have less than 300 pages to go.

The Italians must not be a PC people. I was listening to an Italian import of Vivaldi bassoon concertos last night, and the Italian word for bassoon is fagotto.

Well, I need to be off, too.  A little earlier, I finished making a prop.
Hopefully, it's one of the last props that I need to do.  The character of Eddie is supposed to be wearing a leopard print shirt.  After (SPOILER ALERT] Frank-n-Furter kills him, Frank give a bag of Eddie's bloody body parts to someone.  I got some body parts and a head, but I didn't have a torso.  I was hoping that the costumer would have another shirt, or one very similar to what she has him in, but she didn't.  I went to Walmart to see if they might have a leopard print throw that I could cut up and sew into a shirt form and stuff to be the torso in the bag, but I actually found a (ladies', but who cares) leopard print blowse!  I stapled and/or sewed the head and arm holes shut, and stuffed it with paper towel, then actually taped closed the remaining hole.   And here it is!

I thought it was a roast chicken covered in paprika :-)

Very clever body parts for a bag work DR George.

Thanks, Jane!

I came across a tour of Montreal that is of Jewish restaurants.  None looked like my idea of a Jewish Deli.

Jennifer, Michael, any comments on this?

All this talk of Lethal White I checked out Career of Evil so I can catch up with the books.  I noticed after the second book I wrote myself a note to stop reading these.  If I don't get right into this book I think I will put it down.

I liked the photos of the set that DR GEORGE posted yesterday.  I am also going to see if my local Dollar Tree has a pointer like that....it is most amusing.

The Paramount Theatre in Seattle is where Frances Farmer worked as an usher during her days as a student in Washington U.  A few years later at the premiere of COME AND GET IT at the same theatre, she was offered the key to the city by the mayor's wife.  Frances told her in no uncertain terms where she could put the key to the city.....

Today in the mail I received:

A letter telling me that the homestead deduction on my property will need to be applied for again since the death of my mother.....I called and will take the documents to the county seat next week or so.

A letter from the office across the hall from THAT office addressed to my mother telling her that she is in the Jury Pool for 2019.  Obviously the news of her passing hasn't made it across the hall yet.

A letter from my Nurse Practioner telling me that he is moving his practice 20 minutes away to Greenwood.....although I have never made it there in less than 40 minutes....he moves November 26.

And my cable bill.....

The 20 minute one vs 40 minutes was funny.  Good luck with the rest.

After finally resolving the missing Kritzerland performer last week and getting her all the material, she e-mails today and says she's sick and has found us a replacement.  But the replacement can't come to today's rehearsal.  I'm ready to cancel the show, which we've never done in our history, but this one is not our usual show and there are group numbers and duets.  Not sure how I want to deal with this and no one has assured me that she can learn all this by heart by show time.

Well, now I know what's got those scallawags Annabelle and Thatch into a rambunctious exuberance today! DRs Laura and George, have you noticed any signs of  joyous privilege from Leonard and Neve today?

Sorry I don't really know anything about this. I live way West of downtown and almost never go there. There is so much roadwork. And they keep closing the way to downtown every weekend. But it sounds interesting.
