Since my keyboard is wireless I only clean it when my computer is off.  I am curious, does anyone else spray their keyboard with a cleaner?  The only spray I ever use is a cold air can which basically blows dirt/food out of it.

Just finished listening to the Encores Pipe Dream.  The score still doesn't grab me.  It feels "inauthentic" in a way that Oklahoma! doesn't and didn't when I was growing up in Oklahoma.

I think the Pipe Dream score is about 50-75% wonderful, but the tone of the Steinbeck books is wrong. Supposedly Steinbeck told R&H they had turned his whores into army nurses.  I much prefer the Encores! recording to the original cast, except for Leslie Uggams, who was consistently flat in performance. Give meHelen Traubel.  On the other hand, I think Oklahoma! is 100% wonderful.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Our current temperature is -4, with a wind chill of -24.  Richard and I have tickets to see Shen Yun tonight at the Schuster Center in Dayton.  Fortunately, the parking garage is right across the street.

Saw a bootleg of the Encores! production and had a reverse reaction, Elmore. Didn’t like Will Chase but loved Uggams.

I guess Nick Nolte will always be Doc to me after the movie. Chase just seemed too boyish. Not looking forward to him in Kiss Me, Kate, either.

Oh no.  I hope you feel better and were able to get off the ship, if that was your plan to begin with.

How great to see photographic evidence of vixmom and vixdad at the Space Center, especially the one at the Vehicle Assembly Building. I have been in awe of that thing since I was there on a trip with my high school chorus in ‘66/‘67. If you haven’t literally been there, you have no idea of the mindboggling size of that amazing structure. Since then I’ve only seen it from a distance, and I need to get back to all of that someday because I love the whole “Space Coast” thing.

A couple of years ago we were able to take a tour that allowed us to go inside that building.   It was amazing and aweinspiring

That's no longer possible as they are currently building a ship to Mars in there

I think I'd heard this. Or had at least heard that inside visits were off for a while. I thought it was a security issue, and maybe it was at first. Well, we shall hope it's not forever. I mean, they were certainly building things when I was there. :D  Though it might have been that the quadrant we were able to step inside of, and look up -- and up -- and up -- didn't have a ship in it. Not sure.
