Finished with my viewing, and then was on the Tube of You looking for something and I found the PBS Dance in America special on Bob Fosse. And there you see it instantly - everything that's wrong with Sam Rockwell's performance. Yes, he's got the voice pretty okay, but he plays it so low-key and without any energy at all - none - typical today actor bull pucky. Then you watch Fosse - yes, soft spoke, but a spark, inner energy, spoke so you could understand him, and you can't take your eyes off him. AND he has a sense of HUMOR. Sorry, Rockwell doesn't understand it at all.
