Paul Rudd was just on STEPHEN COLBERT.  He is really a cutie, but I wanted to reach thru the TV and fix his hair.

Last night was the first night in over two months that I actually slept well.  I had the usual pains, but I wasn't as restless or up as many times as I usually am.

It’s so hard to believe today is Thanksgiving Eve.

And yet... you know what?  it’s Thanksgiving Eve.

This morning I have a 9:00 breakfast meeting with my director.

Why, oh why, didn’t I say let’s make it 10:00 instead? It will be fun, productive, and above all, delicious. I just need some more sit time today before jumping in.

We’re going to a diner that opened a decade or so ago that I’ve managed to not get to yet, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. It’s still the “new” diner to me, as most of them in the area predate my time here so they were always part of the landscape. But it looks inviting, and that’s important in a diner.

I've never tried sambucol.  There's definitely some bug going around our building.

In Florida, everyone seemed healthy.  I had extra strength lozenges and tried to stay away from being on top of others.

Though I must say at the theater where John Archibald from castrecl is starring [more on that next post, I'd thought the "elf" would be the starring role from TV] in "Elf," there were lots of heavyset but very healthy seeming people lining up at the dinner theater buffet, so I didn't feel self-conscious about how much food I was taking.

Last time I went to buffet dinner at a dinner theater was in Maryland, where people seemed to be picking healthy offerings.  That was 2016.

Likewise, when I saw "Titanic" at a dinner theater in Westchester where a lot of NYC folks seemed to be in attendance.  I think it was the first time a scaled-down version was that close to NYC, and it was directed by a member of the original Bway cast, who had enticed several actors who'd been in the show on Bway at various times. (The Mrs. Strauss was one of the Mrs. Strausses I'd seen on Broadway and she used to live in our building.)

But I digressed, or is it "I digest?"  In Westchester and Maryland, even with all you can eat, people did not pile the food on.  In Florida, it was like the Vegas buffets, where people seemed to be taking enough for two meals.

Vixmom, I don’t know how we’re going to prepare the mushrooms, but I was asked to bring sherry.
