DR MattH, re: the judges' comments. Didn't they suggest Nadia was in trouble BEFORE Scott had even performed? I'm not sure how I feel about what Scott said to Simon. I never liked him (Scott). But was even more put off after the abuse allegations re: his child's mom. But more than that, since then he's been more distant and not as nice.

But re: his comments. I think that he was partially right. I mean yes, it is something for him to be up there. It cannot be easy being a nobody and then having to perform in front of a huge crowd (and 30M viewers). But I don't see why he couldn't just accept Simon's comments. If Simon thought he had problems in certain areas of the song THEN MAYBE HE SHOULD LISTEN TO THAT.

I hate that Paula (and the crowd for that matter) are not interested in hearing any negative comments.

And btw, when Simon said Constantine was "astonishing" did he mean astonishingly good or bad?

(I know he meant good, but geez he should have clarified).

Also, re: who will be voted out, I think it's clear from last week that Paula/Randy's praise of Vonzell/Nikko made no difference. So I'll bet there will be at least one surprise in the B3.

Also2, after praising Carrie like there was no tomorrow, Simon has been quite negative towards her in the past couple of weeks. I am trying to figure out if he is purposely trying to tone down his comments (because I know I was finding it very annoying). Btw, am I the only one who is less than thrilled by carrie? I do like her. ANd i'm sure she is very popular (and will probably win). But there is something about her that seems sort of stuck up.

I think Scott and Anwar are in the bottom two tonight.

Both were appalling. Randy has been championing Anwar and Nikko from the beginning and has raved after the most abysmal performances.

The third one in the bottom will be one of three: Anthony, Carrie or Nadia.

I thought Vonzell and Constantine were the class of last night's pretty good show. Constantine showed guts, glam and smarts by doing something totally unlike anything that stage has witnessed before. Vonzell was bright and vivacious and wonderful.

Bo was solid but repetitive. He peformed the Lynrd Skynrd exactly the way he performed the Blood, Sweat & Tears number a few weeks back...same movements, same growls, same hair tosses.

Anthony and Nadia were both very good, I thought, although Nadia's song choice wasn't particularly outstanding. She was gorgeous and she sang beautifully...but she was first and it wasn't a performance that stuck with me, so I'm guessing Simon's "prophetic" pronouncement "might" happen. Carrie was at the opposite end of the spectrum from last week. I liked her performance last week much more than last night's. I think her fan base might weaken a bit because of it.

Scott or Anwar should go home tonight. Scott was weakest in the parts where his range should have made him shine...the lower register of that song. He stumbled through half the song. Anwar....I don't know what Randy means when he claims Anwar is the most vocally proficient...I don't hear proficiency...I hear pitchiness and an inability to sing "just the notes in the song." He runs the songs into the ground with that propensity to "riff" notes...and he doesn't do them well. Whichever stays should go home next week.

Vixmom, I agree the Elizabethan BLACKADDER is, by far, the best...though the Regency series is also pretty good. The weakest is the first...It's really before Atkinson hit his stride and found the heart of the Blackadder character which is his acerbic sarcasm.

I went there and looked at the schedule and realized that there is nothing that I watch on CBS! I watch NBC and ABC shows and other stations/networks, but nothing on CBS. Is that weird, or what??

I have only been asked for my autograph once in my life (if you don't count FedEx, UPS & teachers , which I don't) and that was it!

He was a real gentleman, very obliging and stood for pictures etc, I was still doing communtiy theatre thenand wa in the 'The Royal Family " as the nanny, I only appeared in the third act. The director allowed me (this one time) to just show up in time for the third act so that I could be at the John Inman party. When I explained to the station manager why I was leaving early, John Inman overheard the conversation and asked all about the play and where it was being done etc. A very nice man indeed.

My second question for ASK BK day: Is there a movie or movies that you think reflects a real life event with some accuracy....I.E. I re-watched THE CARDINAL and SHOES OF THE FISHERMAN and the ceremonies in both of them RE:electing a new Pontiff seemed to be accurate. So not necessarily an historical moment (like the sinking of the Titanic), but the way something is done - I.E. electing a Pope.

I think the trial in Anatomy of a Murder is pretty accurate, right down to having a real judge, Joseph Welch, play the judge.

The dismantling of the bomb in the Powell and Pressburger film The Small Back Room is very accurate and excruciatingly suspenseful to watch.

I've recently been approached to musical direct a production of "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" and when I pulled out my CD, I noticed it was produced by you. What are your feelings on the show? Is there any dialogue? Is it worth skipping out on working on a production of "Ragtime" instead?

Just taking a small break from the packing. -And I did make it over in time for lunch too! Arby's (where I had a very dietetic salad), and then over to the DQ (where I had a very non-dietetic Peanut Butter Oreo Blizzard).

We're in the "small stuff" phase, which is always the hardest part - all the knick-knacks, assorted 'stuff' - fragile and non-fragile, and to harken back to yesterday's Word of the Day, all manner of DETRITUS. I'm not sure I've come across anything SARTORIAL. Yet.

I finsihed CLOSER today which I found a fairly devastating story of life, love, and loss. It's also a movie which suggests that sometimes lies are preferable to the truth particularly in relationships, something I would have thought would never be true. The movie, which I'll want to watch again soon, put a big question mark in my mind about that.

If I could recommend one show to watch from their line-up, it'd be COLD CASE. I think it's the most underrated hit on their schedule. The audience for WITHOUT A TRACE has grown the most over the last two years, but though I like it, I really think COLD CASE provides a mystery with a lot more emotion and heart each week.

Jennifer, I agreed with what Scott had to say. I just didn't think he should have said it to an audience of people he wants to vote for him. No one likes that kind of smug attitude thrown in his face. Confidence is one thing but arrogance is quite again something else, and he came across as petulant and antagonistic last night in those remarks. (Made me wonder if those anger issues he had which his child's mother weren't still a problem he needs to continue working on.)

I've never been a Carrie fan. She has a pure voice and can do well in her genre (though I think last night was a serious misstep) and she's attractive. But I think she lacks warmth and a direct connection with the audience. I have always felt she performed for the audience rather than engaged the audience, and the IDOL contestants who have done well have always had that engaging aspect of involving the crowd which I find lacking in her.
