I think Elmore mentioned the movie of A STREET CAT NAMED BOB the other day. It's available from Netflix, DVD only.

The movie is also on YouTube.  I'm waiting on the sequel, which was released in London this month, A Christmas Gift from Bob.

I didn't know about the sequel.

LA County is trying to make free Covid testing available throughout the county. A very good idea, IMO. I'm sure there are many people who are really worried that they have it. You shouldn't need to go through your doctor--particularly since so many of use are considered ineligible for a doctor's appointment. But why did it take us so long to get here? Possibly due to not enough test kits. Or other factors.

I believe there are ways to get free testing in Washington, others you can pay without a prescription.  Rite Aid has sent me emails that I can get tested there.  I don't know what the requirements are.

Bruce did you have to pay for your test?

I saw this on CNN and wondered if it might impact bk's shooting schedule:

All public and private gatherings with people outside a single household will be prohibited for three weeks in Los Angeles County starting Monday to curb an unprecedented spread of coronavirus, the Department of Public Health announced in a news release.

I had meant to ask yesterday and was distracted by my concern for our friends.    I am worried the father and sister will get sick on the drive home.

They have to drive back in a car with someone with covid?!?!  That is crazy.

Also how were they able to get tested before they went with no symptoms?  Here you can only get tested if you have symptoms or if you were in contact with someone who tested positive.

I believe that testing here is free. But you can't just randomly ask to be tested. :(

Yes crazy.  I was very nervous about them driving back and taking two days.  I especially worried about their father getting sick while he was driving.  I am relieved to know they returned last night.  The father and younger sister seem fine.  I am not sure why but they did a quick test on the sister today and it was negative.

The mother is at her home in quarantine, awaiting results of her test, and I am sure the others have to now quarantine in the father's home.

Just like Bruce tested today as a precaution you can get tested here if you don't have symptoms.  It makes sense as so many people are asymptomatic.  Of course this scenario is an indication of how imperfect this system is, still I guess it is better than not testing.  Plus the father had the sense to retest with only cold symptoms.  I am not sure he would have done that if he wasn't about to see his parents.

We are going to video chat with our friend tomorrow to connect beyond texting.  It is weird to video chat with someone that live 20 minutes away.

Felt like watching the Jerome Robbins Opus: Jazz video - I wish the child directors hadn't imposted a "vision" on it and understood how to edit and shoot dance - Robbins, I think, would not have been happy - but the dancing is wonderful and the choreography amazing.  In the extras, it has the entire last number as done by the original company for television and THAT is brilliant - nothing like seeing dancers do choreography that was created for THEM specifically.  The new, modern dancers of today don't seem to have the personalities and this choreography just doesn't quite fit them like it did the originals.

Then I watched the Something to Dance About Robbins documentary - it's always a fun watch and I enjoyed it even though I watched it just a few months ago.  Not sure I'll watch anything on the TV, but might play around on Amazon Prime or the Tube of You.

Oh, and the pulled pork sandwich was amazing, as was the mac-and-cheese, which was thankfully very small in portion, unlike the sandwich, which was HUGE.

I listened to what is considered as a classic Hansel and Gretel - von Karajan from around 1953 in mono - very well done and enjoyable, but, for me, the Eichhorn is my go-to now.

Had to "unfollow" Arnold M. Brockman - he's just delusional and crazy with the right-wing crap he posts from alt-right conspiracy theory sites.  And if another of his things comes across my feed at any time, then I unfriend instantly.

We were watching an episode of the Britcom To The Manor Born (aired from 1979 to the early 80's), and I noticed in the end credits that the script supervisor was a Christopher Bond. I am wondering if that is the same Christopher Bond that wrote the play Sweeney Todd, later adapted by Hugh Wheeler and Stephen Sondheim. I can't find a mention of this credit anywhere on the Internet in connection with the Bond of Sweeney fame.

Speaking of Sondheim, I am wondering if Henrik Egerman (A Little Night Music) has ever been played by an actor who actually plays the cello and doesn't have to pantomime the part.

I think this was the case in the last revival, at least with the original actor.

Watching the DVD of Kiss Me, Kate with Rachel York and Brent somebody. I hadn't liked it the first time I watched it, but I'm loving it tonight. Singing along (something no one should have to put up with). I particularly like Michael Berresse in this. I still don't see the need to incorporate From This Moment on for the worthless character of the general.

Those gullible enough to buy QAnon and other lies of that ilk are only too willing buy more of the same bilge. They bought four years of falsehoods from the White House and are happy to continue by tarring others.

When I told Keith you had unfollowed the posts he asked how to do that.  We couldn't find the option, not that I intended to do so.  Maybe there isn't one anymore.

OK, I was just at FB and am guessing at what happened.  He responded to your response so you could still see it, or you just hadn't really unfollowed him ;)

I read your long response.
