I knew they mostly lived in one area but it had never occurred to me that it was because they were kept from living anywhere else.

I just checked the closest location to get the Covid-19 vaccine.  It's literally three doors from my pharmacy.

True story:  Growing up, my grandparents lived near Allentown, PA.

I always thought that Roger Whittaker song was about how he was gonna leave old Allentown.

For those who haven't gotten the memo, I should like to point out that it's a Monday.

I watched the 1969 movie THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE.  I feel like I lived through it......it was quite a slog.

I liked it better when Alfalfa recited it with firecrackers in his back pocket.

My Covid stimulus payment paid for my copy of the new Anyone Can Whistle recording, which arrived on Saturday.  The first thing I did was to destroy the cardboard box with some of the most unattractive artwork I have ever seen on a recording in which the two CDs were encased.

For some reason, ice cream trucks seldom came through our subdivision.  My brothers and I usually got ice cream when we went to market with mom.  I usually got a Drumstick, but I did love creamsickles.

Today was telephone day.

I called the garage to tell them my car would be there at 12:30 p.m.

I called my oncologist's office to make my six-month check up appointment.....it will be January 26 at 12:30 p.m.

AND I called the Summers Heating & Cooling to tell them to STOP sending me invoices and to stop calling me because I was not interested in renewing my Service Plan.  I just said I couldn't afford it.  She was quite nice and told me I could pay it monthly and have it come out of my bank account $11.99 each time.  I decided not the try to explain to her that it was still the same money however it was paid......

T.O.D.

Rocky Road.

I love Rocky Road so much that when I was 5, I named our new dog Rocky. His coloring was similar.

I'll probably be reminded of others as the day goes on, but:

Drumsticks
Ice cream sandwiches
Chocolate covered vanilla bars
Fudgesicles, Creamsicles

Was (is) "King Cone" the name brand of a drumstick? That's the only one of these things I can recall having as an adult, and that type of thing would definitely be my favorite. I do still love good ice cream cones.

Chocolate covered bars are delicious, of course (I'm thinking modern day Dove Bars?), but they're so damned messy. Or I just never learned the proper technique.

On this trip to Louisville, I have introduced Mom to creamsicles. She’s hooked. I feel My work here is done.

Monday morning greetings!  My sister, niece, and I have been busy online this morning registering for a 2-day virtual crafting event that will take place in March.  We have 2 weekends in a row lined up, with 2 different companies.

TOD - We had a Good Humor truck in our neighborhood and I loved the 2-stick popsicles that were different fruit flavors.  We'd yell "Waaaaiiiiit a second" when we wanted the driver to stop and until very late in her life my mother could mimic our chant perfectly.

I had a long dream in which I was in London with DR Ginny and Richard for the opening of a show starring my dear friend Annalene Beechey.  I ran off to check out London, and then had a horrible time getting back.

Sorry you got lost in London, DR Elmore, but otherwise we had a great time...

If It was the Good Humor truck and I had enough money I’d get the one ice cream bar with the fudge candy in the middle

If it were bungalow bar or hood I would get a Mario’s chocolate Italian ice

It it were Mr. Softee I’d get a twist

My phone call today was to Adam Schiff's office.  There are two new House members I want to see evicted:
1. Barry Moore, who tweeted over the weekend that there were more punishments for stealing a podium from the Capitol than for election fraud.
2. Lauren Boebert, a gun-totin' QAnon idiot who was supposedly tweeting Nancy Pelosi's location to the terrorists.
