I took that from Facebook so I am not sure everyone can see it.  If you don't know, that container is for dog poop.

Simply dreary day here today.

Major downpour at one point.

Gonna be very cold tonight and tomorrow night.

I fear our peach crops will suffer.

Back from picking up a package, lunch at Art's whilst proofing, and now finally home for more proofing.

Those of you receiving the new round of covid tests, what did you receive and what is the expiration date?

I'll have to check when I get home tonight after the show.

When did you post that link about the tests, George. I’ve been too swamped to think straight.

I posted it on Wednesday.  Here's the link:

Could use some of those vibes for a coworker dealing with a cancer diagnosis. And dealing with kidney stones, sciatica and more.

My tax consultation with the new preparer went smoothly. He's in that very Jewish neighborhood on Pico near Doheny. NOT the high-rent neighborhood, like some accountants I've been to. I don't know if that area has a special name, but it's certainly a distinct community. He charged me $10 less than my previous guy and he's not swamped, despite having excellent reviews.

There's a bakery on the corner, so of course I had to check it out. I tried their rugelach, which was very fresh.

That is the Beverlywood Bakery.  Keith's mother lived in the apartment building on Doheny behind the bakery.  For a number of years it kind of went downhill, sold and became good again.  I have fond memories of going there with my father, as well as to Factor's, to shop for our big Sunday brunches.

There was more tsuris over my prescription. When I called at 1:00 to ask if it had arrived I was told it had not -- AND that the pharmacy was closing early at 3:00. (They're closed on weekends.) The item was on the UPS truck, which was in the area, but they couldn't say when he'd arrive. The pharmacist and I worked out a back-up plan. I was lucky and learned that the local Rite-Aid had some in stock. UPS arrived in time, though, and I didn't need Rite-Aid.

I haven't given up on this mom & pop shop, though, because when I have questions they're good about answering, unlike Rite-Aid. I will allow even more time in the future, especially when special orders are involved.

Yes, it's still the Beverlywood Bakery. I don't think of that area as Beverlywood, though. I think of Bruce's old neighborhood as Beverlywood.

Vibes to John G's co-worker. At least Covid is almost over. The last two years have been a particularly bad time to be sick.

Very weird and vivid dream. I was in war-torn Macedonia to attend the premiere of a children’s ballet based on a piece of music about the sunrise. I had suggested the music, so I had been invited to the premiere. The shelling was severe and it was looking dubious that the premiere would happen. But the folks wouldn’t call it off. Instead they complained their war just wasn’t getting the publicity that Ukraine was.

I've been having some war dreams, too.

I've spent the morning cleaning up the manuscript of Annabelle & Thatch. Fingers crossed, a publisher has asked to see more of it.

YAY!! VERY good news!

DR John we planned to go to see the kids in April, however, we had to wait for Bryan's schedule which was done unusually late.  In the last two days prices have sky rocketed and convenient flights are gone.  I hope you didn't have the same problem booking your flight to Greece.

Sorry to hear this. Vibes you find something you're really happy with.

I am pleased to have my tax information in the hands of a preparer and to have the prescriptions I need for Monday's little adventure. Talk about simple things becoming difficult!

I am glad it all worked out.  They were kind to work out a back up plan for you.
