I am hungry for good Italian food, all of the sudden.

The best Fettuccine Alfredo I have ever had was in both Philadelphia & the Epscot Center, but then they were from Alfredo's of Rome.

TOD

I really don't know what would be the best I've had, or even what my favorite is. I like many kinds of Italian food, and have had wonderful meals of it - here, there, everywhere. A few standouts, both high and low, would be:

My beloved Two Guys From Italy on Yucca at Las Palmas, probably my favorite "neighborhood" jernt of all time - for pizza, lasagna, the usual stuff. Always a comfortable place, always delicious.

A nice Italian restaurant on South St. in Philadelphia, the name of which I probably have no way of determining now, sorry to say, as this was in the late 1980s. (But I should try to figure it out. Right? Depends on how many there are, or were, within a certain range of blocks.)

I think in NYC I've only ever eaten a full Italian meal at John's on East 12th Street in the East Village. I remember the tiramisu but not so much whatever I ate before that.

As far as pizza goes, there have been too many good ones across the country to try to name.

It's a similar concept here in the PNW, but with Birkenstocks. ;D

I don't wear either though as a child I practically lived in thongs, a name that got changed to flip flops thanks to the stupid underwear.

Not exactly on time - an hour and a half of sitting on the plane and waiting. Finally on our way.

Sorry, BK. At least you gain a few hours going back to the West Coast.

The powers that be that decide these things have decreed that today is National Taco Day. So where are my tacos?

It wasn’t until I was in my early twenties and dated a guy with a big Italian family that I learned about homemade sauce and  homemade pasta

I may or may not have dated that boy a month or so longer than I might have otherwise because of that manicotti

Besides the aforementioned manicotti, I do like a nice meat lasagna, as long as there is no sausage
