Works for me DR DtM - although the costumes would have to use a LOT more sequins....

Could be DR SWW....Allison was not a football fan as far as I know....

Thanks again for the well wishes, folks!

MBarnum, my friends are moving and she has developed an allergy to her cat, Walty, so they have been looking for a home for him so she could be in a cat-free environment in their new home. The Gal finally broke me down, and we are going to give it a shot as a two-cat household starting Saturday. I know Walty, and he seems nice. The quesion is whether he will get along with our Killbot, who is also very easy going. You never know!

DR Jason:  Thanks for being a lone voice of concern for the terror attacks in London.  I'm guessing the entire West End would have had to be leveled to get much notice around these parts.

I have emailed all my friends in London, and I'm waiting to hear back.  I didn't hear a thing on the news this morning before I left the apartment.  There was a 14th Street ruckus around noon today: five police cars and flashing sirens at the subway stop.  My horoscope advised me, interistingly, to take the bus today, so I did.

Possibly the shock of learning that a bigger bomb than THE QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE happened in London this morning?

Well, I'm still struggling with the Follies casting.  I've added a couple of theater people (no, not Bernadette), but I'm having trouble thinking of a good Sally and Buddy (I do have Gene Kelly in my cast, but somewhere else ;)).

I thought DRStuart's cast was so good, I stopped thinking about it.

The tropical storm finally arrived around 3:30. We had a gully washer for about 45 minutes. Now, it's sunny and hot.

No, a lot of what they make is much worse and costs many millions (insert DODGEBALL, VAN HELSING).

I love Bernadette IN MANY THINGS but not everything. There is NO actress who's perfect for everything.

Well, to be true to my word, I stuck with LARA CROFT 2 to the bitter end. It actually inproved in the last 45 minutes and there were some very entertaining sequences along with a MOST surprising denouement. Won't spoil it for anyone who still hasn't watched it and wants to, but it wasn't as predictable as I expected.

I was trying to finish it before the storm arrived because I didn't want to running any sensitive (read expensive) equipment in the midst of a bad storm. Worked out exactly right. The raindrops started during the movie's last 10 minutes.
