Chicken and dumplings sound wonderful.

Ticket to Paradise is not great. It’s barely good, but I like spending time with George and Julia.

I fixed the stuffed shells for tomorrow. I took my daughter out to run her errands. I was setting up the luminarias and the children from next door wanted to help. They are so sweet. I lit the luminarias and walked over to the church for the service. After we got home, we ate cheese and crackers. Then I took my daughter home and I'm unwinding.

I went to church tonight and came back with cauliflower and a cassava melon. Apparently the food bank gave us way too much food and they didn’t want it to go to waste. I could have picked up sweet potatoes and cabbage, but I didn’t need either.

Starting Metropolitan, Whit Stillman’s first movie. I haven’t seen it since it first came out. Loved it then. The beginning is set at Christmas, so it fits the holiday.

Great line from Metropolitan

Get out your handkerchiefs. It’s time for The Bishop’s Wife.

I'm watching the original Miracle on 34th Street!

A few months ago, I (finally) got the OBC to the musical version, Here's Love.

Sweet story in the Washington Post. "A puppy was abandoned at an airport. Then a United pilot adopted him."

Sweet!

That is nice!

Did anyone else not get mail delivery today?

There was nothing in my mailbox today, but I don't know if the mail was delivered or not.  I assumed that it was...today's not the holiday.

We picked names and only got one item for that one person, no one else...except that we were each supposed to get something for my mom, but I forgot that part. ::)

I got my sister's boyfriend's name, and my sister had an extra fleece throw blanket that had a hummingbird on it (he really likes hummingbirds) that was designed by a Native American, that she said that I could give as "my" gift.

My niece got me an aluminum travel cup with a straw that had the logos of Broadway shows on it (it's really nice!) and a couple of Broadway logo keychains.
