I have finished Nana. And with that, I have finished the 7,600 pages of the Rougon-Maquart Cycle. It took seven years.

They are such good souls. What will they do when they travel?

I forgot to congratulate George on the repair and return of his elusive car
May you drive it in good health …both you and the car!

Thanks, Vixmom!

In my old neighborhood there was a public wooden statue on the street depicting a lamplighter. Back when they had such things.

I have a picture of it, but covered in depths of snow, so you can't really make out any of the details.

His snowy hair was so much whiter beneath the candle glow.

I have seen a few similar type statues.  They were all very nice.

A good ice cream confection you can find in the store is Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar. It's like a Dilly Bar shaped like Mickey's head. The quality is high.

The wise little hen may or may not be related to the hungry hen.

Our old neighborhood in Delaware was originally built to house DuPont execs. It dated from the time of horses and buggies, so the streets were narrow, and it still had functioning old-fashioned streetlamps. I loved that.

But if the hungry hen ate the book report, they may no longer be hungry.
