I just received a proof for the newspaper ad for The Play That Goes Wrong.

It had the wrong ticket price and a logo for The Miracle Worker.  But the dates were right.

Best laugh today!

Thank y’all for the vibes. I have a call in to my acupuncturist/massage therapist to see if I can get a tuneup.

Yes.  I knew once I started the book I wouldn't be able to stop.

When my lines go awry this evening I shall blame MR BK.

Demara appeared in the movie The Hypnotic Eye.

He wasn't very good at impersonating an actor.

I know William Finn isn't to everyone's taste, but I love his stuff.

Ditto!

On the news this morning: an apartment building not a mile from where I live burned to the ground overnight. Fatalities unknown.

Fireworks were noted in the area just before the fire started.

Also, youths have been arrested for shooting fireworks directly at police cruisers.

Oh, my goodness! :(

I got rear ended on my way to work. It did nothing to the car. Except for a small scratch.

Yikes!  At least, there wasn't much damage to your car.  I would pay close attention to how it actually drives over the next few days, though...just in case.

Coming Sept. 15, 80 years after its premiere. I was just emailing John Wilson about this and the complete CAROUSEL. Nate Hackmann, who plays Curly, sang "They Call the Wind Maria" on the Encores! recording of Paint Your Wagon.

I've never seen, or listened to, the musical. Has anyone here done so?

I've been told that the music is quite good, and probably quite challenging.

I saw the show in Seattle during its pre-Broadway run.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The sad distinction is that Norbert Leo Butz's sister, who lived in Seattle at the time, died during that run. :(

Sadly, most wouldn't. But I love it, and I wish there were some way to incorporate that into...something.

Could you show projections at the top of the show? Like, in The Great Race main titles, with the slides going through wrong?
