Yes, Jen, I originally put Em's name there.  I knew as soon as I hit post that I was incorrect, immediately went into modify and changed it.

But by then, Emily-the-quick, had already seen it and posted a correction.  It took me 55 seconds from the time of my first post to the time I posted the correction.  And Emily still beat me by 10 seconds.

I'm sure glad I don't have to pay for her running shoes!

Jennifer... oy... don't get me started about deranged guys on the metro.

Why is it that the only guys who come up and talk to me on a whim are always mentally ill/stalkers?  WHY GOD WHY!?! (Ron - care to answer? :) )

All right, then.  It's because you're s-p-e-c-i-a-l and they can sense that and are attracted to it.

They know you'd never hurt them or spit on them or curse them.

I have not harangued.  Not me, not I.  Chat in a mere two and a half hours, and we'd better have a lot more posts than this by then or there will be hell toupee in the chat room.  If we were in France a chat room would mean a cat room.

A rainy cool monday...isn't there a song about rainy days and mondays?  :)
Regretably, I will not be attending chat tonight unless there are still people lingering at 8:30 when I get out of rehearsal.  Sad...I hate to miss all the lovely HHW gossip...

Russell doesn't count. Though I was on the phone with him today, it was for far less than an hour. This DR has a karma score higher than mine. :(

We are a sleepy site today, but so are others, I've noticed.  Since we are not like others, WAKE UP!  Wake up and smell the posts!  Chat in a mere two hours.

Good evening all.

First my "duh" for the day.  I didn't know the Craig that is here was/is the same as the Craig from BWW.com until I saw the congrats on this board for what he is doing on that board.  What can I say?  Ok, all together now, "Duh!"

And now I suppose your going to tell me that the BK I’ve spoken to on the other board is the same one as this one, right?  Ha!  I’m not going to fall for that one.

Well, Emily, sounds like the mass transit systems are the same the world around.  My two “favorite” stories are the time we stood around until 6 PM waiting for the bus to show up.  I called to ask when we could expect it (our pick up time is 5:15 PM) and was told I missed the bus!  Considering there were 13 of us standing there, I didn’t think so.  I told that to the lady on the phone and she scrambled to find where the bus was.

It turned out it had been by but the driver forgot to change the marquee so it we didn’t KNOW it was our bus!  Small details.  It’s all in the small details.

The other was the fire on the bus.  We smelled something burning the moment we go onboard and tried to tell the driver.  He said the oil had just been changed and some must have dripped on the motor.  Well down the interstate we go, until a tractor-trailer started honking at us.  We were on fire and the smoke was so bad it was almost causing other drivers to wreck!  We made it to the side of the road but the stupid driver wouldn’t let us OFF THE BUS.  He didn’t want us to get “hurt” on the highway!  Hello?  Being on a burning bus is SAFE??

Like I said, it’s not just a bus ride, it’s an adventure!

I’ll try to be a the chat–at least for a little while.

Rainy Days and Mondays

Talkin' to myself and feelin' old
Sometimes I'd like to quit
Nothing ever seems to fit
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

What I've got they used to call the blues
Nothin' is really wrong
Feelin' like I don't belong
Walkin' around
Some kind of lonely clown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

Funny but it seems I always wind up here with you
Nice to know somebody loves me
Funny but it seems that it's the only thing to do
Run and find the one who loves me.

What I feel has come and gone before
No need to talk it out
We know what it's all about
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down

Sorry I couldn't post today at lunch. Our CEO was hovering, so we couldn't get online.

My favorite divas and the songs that made me love them:

Patti LuPone: Don't Cry For Me Argentina
Jennifer Holliday: And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going
La Lansbury: Beautiful Briny Sea from BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS
Julie Andrews: Supercalafragalisticexpialidocious
Stritch: The Ladies Who Lunch
Audra McDonald: Your Daddy's Son
Judy Kuhn: Nobody's Side
The Merm: Rose's Turn
La Garland: Over the Rainbow
Rosemary Clooney: White Christmas
Elaine Paige: Memory
Barbara Cook: My White Knight

Did I mention that I met Stephen Flaherty and Lyn Ahrens today? They had a meeting with our grouchy, hovering CEO. They both seemed very nice, though...

I was going to guess that DR Mark was talking to Guy Haines. But he has no karma.  DR Maya has much karma. But DR Mark made it seem like he was talking to a he.  Was he talking to DR Craig?

I'm pretty sure HHW women will also be gods. But wouldn't that be so cool if DR Mark could fix it so women could become goddesses. That would make me very happy (yes it takes very little :))

I forgot to say that I can't really think of a diva that I like.

If this works, you might see a picture of my babies.  Bear is the handsome fello sitting up and Brandi is the pretty girl laying down.

Today at school, I was using a computer in the library and this lady came over and sat at the one next to mine. She picked up the mouse and tried to figure out what it was. Then she went to the Yahoo website and just stared at it for ten minutes. She kept saying, "Hmmmm. Interesting."

Such “wonderful” public transportation stories today.  I never had such things happen to me on the buses in L.A.  I did have a fun experience riding the freeway bus from the valley to work at Wilshire and Western.  Every morning a group of us rode together and declared the front of the bus as our own.  The group was really established before I began riding the bus on a daily bases, I just joined in and nobody complained.

Chat in one hour.  At least we beat our low day.  Now we must have a volley of posts, an explosion of posts.  Why if everyone who was perusing the board would simply post, then who knows WHAT would happen.

I know who Mark was talking to on the phone...and I figured it out like *that*...come ON guys, it's not THAT hard...if I hadn't been banned from all guessing, I'd shout it out.

I got a 92 on my algebra test...

Oh and I was harassed by the school officials today for skipping (my first pd. teacher never changed me from "absent" to "present" when my dumb bus finally arrived), so I got mad, yelled a lot, made a few comments about how my parents pay their salary, got yelled at, made a few more commments about how they were breaching the school codes by doing this, got apologized too, and sent on my merry way.

Don't you be arguin' with me.

Aaaand...yes. That's about it.

Sandra:...So am I...you know what they say about great minds...

Unfortunately, I've been raised in a generation where I hear "diva" and I think "Whitney, Mariah, Celine!"
