I had read that Duilio DelPrete was awful, but when I finally saw AT LONG LAST... I thought he had some charm. "Little Annie Orphan no home yet, eh?"

The problem is he is somewhat difficult to understand with his heavy accent.

TPunk, the day at the aquarium sounds like fun! I love sea horses...they are fascinating.

And PS: I am really happy you were excited about seeing Moscow Cats! Thanks for arranging the tickets! That is going to be such a fun show.

Football season is underway, as noted. I just enjoyed watching the Colts dominate the thug team from Baltimore. So I am in a happy mood.

We hada wonderful time at POTO although vxdad and I spent nearly as much time watching the Vixter as we did the stage.  If the theatres knew what a great audience she is they woukld put her front  and center at every show!  A couple of times I had to put my hands her her shoulders as the tension was getting so great a could see she was about to jump from her seat in excitement (which I suspect the gentleman behind her would have, quite rightly, had some objections to)

When it was over she said  "That was WAY better than Little Women!!! When can we see it again?"

Then she insisted we wait by the stage door so that she could meet Hugh Panaro (The Phantom).  We waited nearly an hour and he never did  come out  gut she did get to meet  Rebecca Pitcher who palyed Christine Daae at this performance and Richard Warren Pugh who joked that he  would just sign Jeff Keller as he was to be covering that role in the evening performance.

I don't care that the tunes are repeated over and over if you want a musical spectacular The Phantom still delivers!

Just as I admired its poster, I always loved the first soundtrack album cover to MY FAIR LADY.

I have been trying all day to think of a favorite album cover and the only one that comes to mind (although I know I have seen some nifty ones in my time) is one of my favorite LPs from my childhood.

While at Coney Island, we were indeed having a devil of a time finding passable food to eat. I can usually eat any manner of deep fried stuff, but I ordered some chicken and ended up dumping it because it had a distinct freezer flavor to it.

THEN, I see a decent-looking pizza at one of these joints, right out of the oven and I order a slice, so the guy takes an old slice off a pile of old slices and puts it in a toaster oven then hands this dried up pizza husk to me. "Why can't I have a slice of that good-looking pizza?" I ask. "That's our display pizza," he replies!!!

Pizza bait and switch! I demanded a slice of the display pizza.

The moral: Reports of Coney Island's rebirth are greatly exaggerated. The beach is okay, but bring your own food.

I was a bit disappointed in ROME tonight. It was a less than 40 minute episode once you subtract last week's highlights and the credits, and there was only a slight amount of story divided into bothersome little snippets so that one would forget who people were because you'd only spend seconds with them before we'd have a cut to another scene.

I didn't read anything about last week's (the second episode's) ratings, so I'm gathering the viewer totals declined. It wouldn't surprise me that people are losing patience when they're given so little to chew on and digest each week.

DR Rodzinski, according to my Playbill, the Playbill yearbook is  $29.95 however if you are in it, it is only $19.95.  Perhaps TPunk will need to get copies for her family for Christmas presents!

"When We Were Young" by the Voices of Walter Schumann
"Don't Take Your Love From Me" by Bobby Hackett
"Without You" by Robert Goulet

Those came to mind.

After I finished RETURN TO PEYTON PLACE, I picked and oldie but goodie from the shelf to enjoy: EVIL UNDER THE SUN with that wonderful all star cast, Cole Porter music, and a cracking good mystery that I always enjoy watching proceed even though I know it almost by heart.

Didn't quite finish it tonight, so I'll get to enjoy the last 1/4 of it tomorrow.

My mom is watching the 1966 version of STAGECOACH on the western channel. We have watched a LOT of westerns since yesterday. I had to have a break and we watched some Adam-12 during dinner.

We have also done a lot of shopping, just so you don't think I have plopped her down in front of the TV for the whole weekend! LOL!

Thanks for the pics, MR BK.  Looks like everyone is having a great time - and congrats on scoring that book!

Dinner with my cousin and her husband and children was GREAT....chicken on the grill then rolled into some delicious pasta with lots of great cheeses and green onions from the garden and fresh tomatoes, etc etc etc.  YES I did get off my diet for today!  But I didn't eat bread.

Yeah, Vixmom, when I cancelled demanded my money back, another guy just told him to let me have the "display" slice. It should go without saying that that slice worth writing home about either.

Well DRMATTH - I keep thinking that Lucianna does a nice job in MUSCLE BEACH PARTY too as the Countess with designs on Frankie.  So maybe it's not so much her acting as it is her.....well HER!!!

Why did Johnny Mathis leave Columbia and go to Mercury in the 60's?

Vixmom, that is so cool that Vixter had so much fun at the show!

I have to say one of the things I love so much about her is her capacity for enjoyment.  So many kids these days are so blase about everything... she is willing to entirely throw herself into totally into the experience.  And she thinks about it  afterwards

This afternoon  she asked me whY I thought Christine wasn't  in the opening scene, had she died? had she never married Raul?  had she run off with the Phantom?

Oh I love that child!!

Speaking of Jamaica commercials, there is a horrible series of commercials for Red Stripe Beer that I find utterly annoying.

Just had to get that off my chest.

That's great that the Vixter enjoyed the show.

This is shaping up to be a really great all-nighter. It's still early, but I don't think I'm gong to have this paper any time soon.

Right now, I'm listening to my mom "discussing" the six and a half hour board meeting she just got out of.

I had thought last night I wanted to watch a gay themed movie sometime soon, and was going to settle with IT'S MY PARTY, but then I stumbled across MY BEAUTIFUL LAUNDRETTE on the to-watch shelf tonight, and that will be the movie I'll watch tomorrow.

I know exactly what you mean.  I had never heard if that beer but now I am determined never to drink it.  The first few times the commericals came on we watched  perplexed sure we were missingsomething, now we hit the remote as soon as it pops up .  Very annoying
