HEALING HANDS
« on: November 20, 2005, 12:05:51 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes have soothed the savage breast or the savage beast or some savage or other, and now it is time for you to post until the savage cows come home - they're being milked by healing hands and they are udderly fascinated by it.

Yesterday was a busy day for me.  I had to go to work to make up a few hours (not enough, though...I will have to use some vacation time this month).  After that, I went downtown and ushered for CAYSA, which is the Capital Area Youth Symphony Association.  I didn't have to stay for the whole thing (purely instrumental music bores doesn't interest me).  When I got home, I started burning some CDs.  (Shhh!!  Don't tell anyone, but I'm copying some things that I got from the library.)  It's going to take a while, and won't be finished tonight (I'm not staying up all night).

Tomorrow, I will finish the aforementioned CDs, then I MUST finish making CD booklets for some CDs that were sent to my by a fellow Manhattan Transfer fan.  I said that I would make some booklets in exchange for the CDs (radio shows where the performers (mainly Janis Siegel and Tim Hauser) are the hosts of the radio shows, not the guests!  These were recorded back in the early to mid-1980s.  They played almost none of their own songs, just a lot of 50s and 60s music.  But I have to get it done tomorrow.  So, get it done, I must!

Why is it that every night past midnight I cannot get the discussion board to load properly via AOL or Safari, but on IE it loads perfectly.  I mean EVERY NIGHT after midnight.  By morning, AOL and Safari are fine.

Good morning, all!  7:30 is too early to be up on Sunday but I've got another busy day.   I have to drop off the Mario Frangoulis numbers, there are Toyland edits this morning, an opera performance in the afternoon, and hopefully a quiet evening.  Tomorrow is both another day and a less busy one.

TOD:  All I can think of is being at the parting of the Red Sea to see if God did it beter than Cecil B DeMille.

We must have photos of Hildy the Dog - whose full name no doubt is Hildy San-Tomas!

And of course James laughed at MA AND PA KETTLE GO TO TOWN!  It's funny!  "Are you the Kettle in underwear?" "Yes, but how did you know?" "Why everyone in New York knows!"

And the glass of water poured from the top of the Empire State Building....and the square dance with the stolen bag of money!

Who wouldn't laugh?

For healing hands see Daystar TV - someone is always passing out the healing falderal and all you have to do is "claim" yours.  And send money.

TOD: taking a tip from Lar, I'd go back a few few generations further.  I'd want to take my time trip to the birth/creation of Adam.  (Go ahead, go for it TCB!)
The Tower of Babel's conversion to a more than bi-lingual spot.
Hannibal crossing the Alps with elephants.
"Watson, come here, I need you."
AMERICAN COUSIN before the assassination.
AMERICAN COUSIN during the assassination.
Novemeber 22, 1963, Dallas, 6th floor of the book depository.
The Chicago exhibition featuring The White City.
T. E. Lawrence's taking of Aqaba.
Times Square on V.E. Day.

Hmmmm-historical event....hmmmm

Dallas, November 22, 1963.

The drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence.

And would love to dress up like an Indian and join in the Boston Tea Party!

Good morning!

It's cool and overcast in this part of the world, and that's OK for a change. Too many mornings with cloudless blue skies does get fairly monotonous.

I went out on my usual Sunday morning errands of ATM and grocery store and will start laundry in a little while.

Yes, I'd like to be in the Texas Book Depository in 1963 as well to see for myself what was really goiing on there. And then go back at the same exact moment to the "grassy knoll" to see what I could see from that vantage point, too.

Well, as I said last night, I have A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS on the DVR and LIFEBOAT on DVD that will get priority today. After them, I'm not quite sure what I'll watch, but again, something probably already watched like an action-adventure or a musical.

Hello all, hmm historical event...there are a lot of them, but I'd love to have been there at the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  It must have been an incredible "we are really doing this" moment. Knowing it would royally tick off King George and very well may lead to their deaths. What a moment that would have been.

Well, I've got to run to the store. I'm making my Thanksgiving for me today (I like some different things than are on the menu Thursday). I want to try this apple/onion stuffing I saw Racheal Ray make during my FoodTVathon yesterday.  Forgot celery......also putting in a Jenny-O Turkey roast. Have to decide what else to make....

Historical moments:  I'd love to be in the kitchen of the Ambassador Hotel on June 4, 1968.  I'd be wearing an apron and carrying a heavy tray as Bobby Kennedy exited the ballroom and entered the kitchen.  I'd personally bean Sirhan Sirhan over the tray as he pulled out the pistol he used to kill Kennedy.

There's a cranberry-pear salad Tyler Florence made on a food show on the Food Network a week or so back.  Looked phenomenally good, and I'm thinking of making some for me for Thanksgiving.  Of course, I'll be eating it with a pork loin instead of a toikey...but that's okay!

FALDERAL can also be spelled FOLDEROL.

But I'm not going to make a falderal case of it.

I've an entire day looming before me.

I watched "LOTR:The Two Towers" last night.  It gets better with each viewing.

I "may" watch "Return of the King" today.   It's a major time investment, so I might opt to watch three other films instead.

I've paid some bills online this morning.

Oh, yes...I've paid some bills.

My electric is good for another month, along with my cable.

Funny, but now I'm in the mood for "Holiday Inn" and "A Christmas Story" and "The Santa Clause" and "Miracle on 34th Street."
