I often rest in honor of nothing in particular. Maybe in honor of rest itself.
Though when I rest I don't get work done around the house.

This morning I went for a walk, and since  my camera is in the repair shop, I can't show the photo of the bittern I didn't take this morning.

LOL-complete rest was the plan but there is SO much to do around here, beginning with the laundry.

JRand the cake was delicious and so much better than the Cold-eeze I’m dissolving in my mouth right now.  The package says these zinc lozenges have been proven to reduce the severity of cold symptoms by 42% and the duration by 3-4 days.  My cold isn’t bad, not that it’s pleasant, so maybe the first part is true.

Picked up two Corman classic Special Edition DVDs - Big Bad Mama and Death Race 2000 of Paul Bartel.

I do believe that would be our very own Dino at the piano.  Be sure to get a signed photograph.

The lead woman in DEATH RACE 2000, Frankenstein's co-driver,  don't know if I ever saw her in anything else, but she is one gorgeous lady.

Yes DR RODZINSKI - Dino and his wife are regulars on TBN and Praise the Lord with Paul & Jan.  He has been touting his Carnegie Hall concert for several months.  Usually he plays in Branson!

I baked birthday cupcakes for myself and then gave some of them to friends as my present to them. Seemed to go over well.

I enjoyed last night's LAW & ORDER very much. As usual, what the crime seemed to be (desecration of a religious book) was not what the trial(s) actually ended up being about.  Love the twists and turns of the plot as more information is revealed.

CSI: NY last night was a rerun I hadn't seen, but one of the stories (there were three) was instrumental in setting up why one member of the team got fired earlier this year. I hadn't seen this episode, so when that person got fired (a week I did watch the show), the backstory was spotty. Now I understand the wrongdoer's motivation and why the firing took place.

Hey, if the "cast album" to Riverdance can beat out Rent for the Grammy, there's no telling who will win. :-\

I was very, very upset yesterday by the really bad sound mastering on "Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom" in that Disney tin, so when I got in from lunch today, I put the disc in my bedroom setup (I have a small surround sound setup in there even though I rarely watch movies in the bedroom.)

The short played just fine using that DVD player, a different receiver and different speakers. So, I took the disc back into the den and played it again. Much to my surprise, the sound which still is very (too) directional and with the speaker's voice alternating stupidly between the three front channels was much better and not a victim of the fading and bad imaging I heard yesterday.

The only thing I can think is that the disc was not sitting properly in the tray yesterday and maybe this is what was causing a less than prstine picture and lousy sound. It looked better today as well as sounding better.

So, my apologies to the Disney company for maligning the disc yesterday.

That's just one of the many stupid choices that have been made in this category. I'm going strctly by the "cool" and well known factor. Since I doubt the voters will listen to ANY of the five nominees, they'll vote on the one that's the best known and most popular at the moment.

Well, the snow has started here and evening events are being cancelled right and left.  Fortunately, because I had a "working lunch" today, I get to leave at 5pm instead of my usual 6pm.  DH Richard just sent me an email, outlining the driveway logistics for when I arrive home.  Praying for a snow day tomorrow!

Someone just e-mailed me - they'd been googling and were led to our site - they need to know the origin of the "Hut Sut" song, which apparently someone posted about once.  Any ideas?
