I was very, very upset yesterday by the really bad sound mastering on "Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom" in that Disney tin, so when I got in from lunch today, I put the disc in my bedroom setup (I have a small surround sound setup in there even though I rarely watch movies in the bedroom.)
The short played just fine using that DVD player, a different receiver and different speakers. So, I took the disc back into the den and played it again. Much to my surprise, the sound which still is very (too) directional and with the speaker's voice alternating stupidly between the three front channels was much better and not a victim of the fading and bad imaging I heard yesterday.
The only thing I can think is that the disc was not sitting properly in the tray yesterday and maybe this is what was causing a less than prstine picture and lousy sound. It looked better today as well as sounding better.
So, my apologies to the Disney company for maligning the disc yesterday.
