NOW my question for ASK BK day - what is the difference between and screenplay and a scenario?

I agree the new TAR previews looked great. Back to 2 person teams. The family thing was ok as a novelty, but I'm glad we're going back to 2 person teams and the entire world.

Well, Jason, if this heads your way, it should warm up soon
It's supposed to get up to 48 degrees on Friday.
Last night before bed I got a glass of ice water to put by my bed. When I woke up this morning, there were still whole ice cubes floating in the water. That's how cold it was in my room last night!

I am so tired. Last night after I left the office I wen to the all night post office where I waited in line for 1/2 hour before I could finally post my various packages...$75 and some cents later I headed over to a business Christmas partay which did have a very nice buffet and an open bar (I had my usual two Shirley Temples
) I left there at 9:40 and headed out to do some Christmas shopping... finally arriving home at 11 PM and threw in a load of laundry before hitting the hay.
Woke up at 6:30 am, moved the laundry to the dryer got my shower and woke up the Vixter, fed her, warmed up the car (16 degrees F out! BLECCCH
) drove her to school, went Christmas shopping and got to work at 9 am. I am now ready to go back to bed and sleep!

Good morning!
It is very cold here and going to get colder. Only 31 at this point this morning, and they're predicting another of those "winter mix" combinations of sleet and rain for us tonight. Yuck!

DVD-R and DVD+R are the two most common recording media, but DVD-R is compatible with more DVD players than the + version. Both are one-time only recording discs, and they're different only by the way the information is encoded on the disc.

I agree with you completely about Danny Kaye. Though he could sometimes be too silly and push too hard for effects, there is no fault I can find with his work in WHITE CHRISTMAS, HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSEN, THE COURT JESTER, and THE FIVE PENNIES. And I'll admit that I haven't seen all of his films.

Again, no notice from Amazon, so I'm assuming I won't be getting my FIVE PENNIES until next week due to the things I ordered that muct not have been in stock.
I'll put in THE GLENN MILLER STORY today to compensate.

Yes, ALIAS has its last new episode for awhile tonight, and a few other shows have new episodes, but not LOST or VERONICA MARS. No worry about VERONICA here. It's preempted for a local broadcast of an NBA game. I assume they're show it at 1 or 2 a.m. like the last time they did this. Of course, the station doesn't have equipment to tape it in high definition, so it's only the standard definition version that gets shown. Bah!

Our local film critic gave the new KING KONG only two stars (out of four). Thought the special effects were amazingly well done, but found the running time ridiculously long (same story as the 100 minute original stretched to gargantuan proportions) and the characters (except for Kong) cardboard and one-dimensional.

Like most movies, reviews for this one are all over the map from a masterpiece to a bore. There really seems to be no concensus on this one at all.

But, I have to go, too, so I can begin prepping lunch.

I'm barely out of bed yet and folks are running off to fix lunch?
Sigh.
After tonight, I guess I'll be eating lunch "now", too.

I saw "Brokeback Mountain" yesterday.
Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are amazing.
The photography is wonderful.
The location is stunning.
The story is great.
It packed its strongest punch for me with Ennis Del Mar's closing line:
"Jack....I swear...."
It was not overtly gutwrenching as I thought it would be. In many ways, it was much more.
I haven't let myself think too long and hard about it. But it's not easily summed up, emotionally.
It's one of those so-real-it's-surreal experiences, for me at any rate, and I'm of an age (and from a time) when the issues in this film were forbidding and unalterably life-shattering.
One of the critics, possibly Variety's, put it perfectly (and I'm paraphrasing): It has an ache at its center!
I'll be thinking on this one for quite a while.

DRJason, this sounds like a story my father, who turned 84 today, used to tell us about growing up in Appalachia in the late 1920s. Did you have to walk to work today through six feet of snow with frozen toes?
